Bar Poole it's all back in our own hands again. We now need to keep it that way.

All? I'd take draws again Hemel and Poole, or a draw against Hemel and three points vs Poole.

Problem with that is the way we have played against lower teams in the league. Win all the games . not a massive run and a return to mid-season form should seethat as possible.Im nothing if not optimistic, starting with our 10-0 hammering of Burnham on Saturday

I can see us winning everyone of the remaining games.
No team within this league should put any fear in the outfit that we have.
Need Frendo and Sykes to develop a good partnership and then we will start putting 5 or 6 past some of these teams.

With us having Hemel and Poole to play we are in the enviable position of being able to decide our own fate and winning all our games guarantees 3rd minimum so we can have no complaints. we would all have taken this opportunity at seasons start so its up to the team to get job done- they still owe us the pleasure of seeing them really do someone over and giving them a gubbing!. Lets see a big support Saturday and a good display. COYS

That spreadsheet is indeed interesting.
I can't imagine Hemel would be terribly pleased to go up only to find themselves in Conference North. There's a lot of very long away trips and no local derbies at all.
Anyone know what this is based on? Speculation or an educated guess?
Is there any reason to suspect we might move across to the Ryman Premier if we don't go up this year?
Might we find ourselves in Conference North if we went up? Who is it that decides all this? The FA?

I suspect this is speculation.
The problem is a lack of teams heading down to the Istmian. It will result in a weaker league
Surely Hemel and Chesham would be in opposite leagues.

That wouldn't be right us moving across into the Ryman so that Histon could come down into the Southern league rather than the Northern Premier and teams like Daventry, Halesowen and Merthyr !
I'm guessing if Hemel and us went up it wouldn't matter anyway as we'd go into the connie south instead of Chesham.

I think the best chance Hemel have of going Conf South (if we go up) is if we win the league and you Saints win the play-off's, as it would be so difficult for the FA to separate the two clubs that they'd surely look elsewhere and move another club instead. Chesham is more obviously southern than Hemel and wouldn't be such a problem splitting us to different divisions.

Stourbridge beat Poole 2-1.

This puts Stour three points behind us having played a game more, while it also means Poole have three games in hand left on The Saints, but are 10 points behind us.

For the first time in a long time our destiny is our own. If we beat Hemel it will go a long way in determining our fate. Coms return will be timely, the starting XI now doesnt pick itself. very tricky!

fair play to the Chesham fella for doing it but as ever..
1. there's 5 games to go 2. it'll be a first IF the 2nd place side wins their respective league play offs (i'll gladly take the bet though)
and thirdly ,probably the most important variable is the AGM Cup, yet to be played of course

Chesham is more obviously southern than Hemel and wouldn't be such a problem splitting us to different divisions. You would think so, marc, that if we both went up, it would be the case. The trouble is, you are being rational and logical, something that could never be associated with F.A. (You only need to look the fiasco this season at Sunderland, where Sunderland played an ineligible player, Ji Dong-won, in three Premiership games and one Capital One Cup 2nd round game, a competition in which they were allowed to eventually reach the final, yet they get away virtually scot free and also have no points deducted. One rule for one and one rule for another............ I can just see a team in our league playing an ineligible player and not getting points deducted). The F.A. are a joke. Looking back to the start of this season, Hinckley Utd were relegated from the Conference North into the Southern Premier and, at the same time, Barwell were transferred from the Southern Premier into the Northern Premier. The 2 grounds are 1.7 miles apart.
