Lee Clarke has left Welling United according to their forum, i think Lee would be a good addition to the team, what do other people think.

Definitely think he's worth a look, captained Welling to the Conference South title only a year ago. He knows Jimmy Gray as well as the likes of Ram, Bazza and Ben Martin so would fit straight back in. Could see it happening to be honest - didn't someone (maybe Boomer?) say they saw him at the Cambridge game?

Would add a lot of experience to the front line.
Of course, both Jamal Lowe and Nick Jupp were also released by Barnet.

A few Welling fans think Clarke could still do a job for them. He managed to score 59 goals in 197 appearances for them- Not half bad.

Would like to see Jamal back.
Gave us real pace on the counter and seemed to enjoy his time with the club.

Adam Everitt might not want to stay at relegated Hayes.
Barnet also released Jack Saville who is a very good left sided defender. Also, Dean Sinclair, an England "C" player was in and out of the Sutton team last season and is a local lad. He might know Jimmy Gray from Arlesey.

We may be getting away with our look at players in/out Its only 4 days since we won promotion and my reading of the situation inc finances is that , regardless of what is said, our budget will not be that much different to this years. Messrs Jupp Lowe and Clarke would be coming back to p/t football and may not be viable. Lets enjoy the warm afterglow of promotion and the squad that got us there for a little while longer!

Couldn't agree more davymac55. Anyway we already have a very good left sided defender. I hope the club will move heaven and earth to keep him!!

I also totally agree with davymac55. Our team were brilliant on Monday and the understanding between players and spirit was great. We have also ended the season with a strong squad, including many who didn't get in the starting line up. We've had two summers of chopping and changing which has disrupted the start to the last two seasons. I'd like to see us keep this squad together with not too many disruptions.

Dean Sinclair may be a St. Albans lad and all that but he actually only started 11 games for Sutton last season and coupled with that, I think we have every bit as good or better in our squad already. Jamal Lowe I would like to see back. Lightning pace and knows where the goal is.

Marriott could be joining Hemel along with Potton from Chesham. (Just rumours at the moment, but those could be good signings for them!)

Meanwhile, Wealdstone fans seem to have a few concerns about us poaching their 22 year old winger Tom Pett. Thoughts?

As a moderator I should really be encouraging this thread to return to the topic but I'm enjoying this too much.
