And Martin and Watters can be added. And no duke(nice to hear from you again by the way) no 8-1. The end of the episode where it all turns out well! Many of that promotion winning team can/could do a job for us but the core of our current squad ,when up for it, are def capable of keeping us up next season, with the usual tweaks as we go along of course. However, now that Torquay have been demoted Mr Benyon? and Sean At Dagenham-get him on loan? I will enjoy the summer and cant wait for the fixtures and that first game, especially at home. COYS

Clarkie was superb for us at Park View Road. Top bloke and great captain. Suffered a bit with a foot injury last season but hopefully thats sorted and he will still get 10 goals or more next season from center mid. (Most will be headers or tap ins though haha) You've got a great signing for Conference South he will still do the business for you for a couple of seasons at least at that level. He became a Welling legend with his performances and the way he gave everything for the club. He had a great chant aswell at Welling... (To the tune of Que sera sera....) Oh Lee Clarke Lee Clarke Hes better than Ji Sung Park Hes bigger than Noah's Ark Oh Lee Clarke Lee Clarke And he still does that Alan Shearer goal celebration Good luck Clarkie

What a lovely post above. We are really chuffed he's returning. Good luck to Welling for the coming season. I'm looking forward to hearing of more signings (or re-signings) soon. Can't wait for new season.

As for 2nd chances we can always give Marlon Dipsh** King a 3rd chance. Mind you that prison football team is beginning to look a bit tasty. The signing of Clarke was a surprise to me as I felt he could still play a t a higher level. Not complaining though. Still no sign of Clarkeisgod ( except at the quiz last night).

I think it's great to see Clarkie home, hopefully he can give us some experience and quality in midfield and a few goals too. It would be nice if Kaloczi could step up into the Ram Marwa role if Ram does leave, always good to see the youth coming through. Looking forward to a few more signings to bolster the squad next season, also I doubt everyone will stay so we might need replacements as much as additions?

Davy I can assure you I was not at the quiz Thursday night, but as the God of football has retuned I thought it would be appropriate to resurrect myself and start posting again

Vote Kaloczi for the Ram Marwa role! If Ram leaves, that is...

There is a very strong rumour coming out of Royston Town FC that Ram Marwa is joining us as a player/coach. Superb signing for us. Apparently he will be introduced at our awards dinner on Friday.
Did Steve sign him for you guys?

From what I've heard, I very much doubt that. It would certainly be a surprise.

Yeah Steve signed Ram I was under the impression that Ram would only leave if he moved to Dubai but nothing surprises me in football If he does join you then you have a brilliant signing, he was certainly the player that made the biggest impact this season after joining

Why would Ram want to join a small outfit like Royston?

Probably the same reason players like Marriott joined then, for money Steve Castles management skills

So, ignoring the rumours from tin pot clubs like Roston - what's the chances of a few more good players being signed (or re-signed) as a result of the trip to Marbella??
