I suspect we'll see a few more players signing on for next season as the squad has just returned from their end of season holiday.
Coms has already tweeted that he's looking forward to pre-season with the squad.

Interesting wording in that piece. Am I wrong in inferring that Comley is the only one to have actually signed a contract, with the others all only 'committing' to the club? Or are they all on contracts?

Quite possibly COYS!
Or, maybe it's been worded like that because they see Coms as the most important figure to resign, especially as he was club captain last season.

I trust you mean re-signed and not resigned. I would hate to think it was the latter.

Does that mean we've got 11 players now but no goalie?!

Does that mean we've got 11 players now but no goalie?! Luckily, WestWalesSaint, the football season doesn't actually start until early August.

Hopefully we'll get some more before friendlies start in July. Lol. Looking forward to hearing of some good signings this week though.

Joint Managers James Gray and Graham Golds are eager and excited to announce the signing on Contract of experienced Conference level goalkeeper Joe Welch. Joe is 25 years old, he was born in Welwyn Garden City and lives locally. He is a tall and confident shot-stopper who began his career playing youth football at Southend United. He joined Histon in 2008 and soon became first choice between the posts, playing more than 50 first team games in the Conference National. He moved to Stevenage on loan in March 2011 and then onto Ebbsfleet United that summer. Joe then joined Bromley in January 2012 initially on loan and then permanently a short while later. He was the Bromley Supporters’ Player of the Year in season 2012/13. St Albans City Football Club is delighted to welcome Joe to Clarence Park and we look forward to seeing him in action. www.sacfc.co.uk/index.php/the-club/2012-04-10-18-56-53/latest-club-news/2695-gray-golds-go-for-welch.html

I may be wrong but I seem to recall Joe Welch playing for us in some of the 2007/08 pre-season games under Ritchie Hanlon, before moving on to Bishop's Stortford. Perhaps someone can confirm. He is ex-St. Albans City youth and is England C.

Hopefully will be a good signing.
Replacing a great like Bazza will be tough.
Best of luck to the lad.

I'm guessing we wouldn't be able to offer Bazza a goalkeeping coach / coach role because he can't make training sessions. Shame, hopefully he manages to get down to a few games next year if he's not playing. Or get his son in, keep the family line going!

Any more news of signings planned by managers?

His son probably wouldn't get much time here at his age as Joe Welch looks very experienced and is rated highly.

So we seem to be missing a right back, a 2nd striker. We seem to have a lot of Central mid (where does Wales actually play - is it wing or central?)
I heard that Watters has gone into management.
So we haven't heard about Coulton, Gilbert, Hall, Corcoran, Knockers, Henry, Ram Have I missed anyone?

Was conor gough any good on loan back when? Hes a free agent. Also, freddie warren (ex west ham, just released by barnet and a cm or cf) had good reviews from martin allen. Seems it wasnt a fit rather than not being good enough.

For some comparison, Hemel have just signed James Potton on a two year deal from Chesham.
