I don't think many are!
The side will probably consist of a mix of first teamer's and the trialist's which have shown some promise in training so far. A win would be a good start.

I should have thought as it is the first game of the new season, even though its a friendy, that there might be some interest among loyal supporters.
Anyway. I'll be going along with my cousin also. Mainly because the Solihull MOORS (to give them their correct name) home ground is only a couple of miles away from where I live.
The reason why they are called Solihull Moors is because of a merger between Solihull Borough F C and Moor Green FC a few years ago.

I gather thee was at least 2 or 3 trialists who started, and it was also not very nice conditions in the heat.

Nice booze at the club house. So many changes at half time. Couldn't keep up with who played when. Frendo played in the second half though. Most passes to him wayward. He had a couple of decent shots on goal. First Moors goal was an own goal second was a penalty. not a happy bus ride home for me.
Still. Its the first game back at least Saints are back in the groove even though it's not a winning one.

Any sign of players like Chris Henry or Ram who haven't signed up yet?

Connor Calcutt scored a wonder goal for Stevenage earlier. Shame we couldn't convince him

Any sign of players like Chris Henry or Ram who haven't signed up yet? Henry, has I think left the club/decided to take up an offer from the Ryman. (May not be Ryman, cant remember the specifics!) Ram, meanwhile, I suspect has sadly left.

The three trialists on show yesterday were Max Jette Jallow former Bishop's Stortford, Dagenham & Redbridge, Thurrock and Barnet player age 30 plays RM/CM. Elliott Buchanan age 25 CF former clubs are Borehamwood, Newport county, Hayes and Yeading, AFC Wimbledon, Concord Rangers, Slough Town, Northwood and Stevenage. Lots of experience at this level which stand us in good stead and Taylor Miles a young talented CM from West ham United age 19. Apparently we will have more trialists on show when we play Dagenham & Redbridge XI on Tuesday. Does anyone have anymore info on theses players or have seen them first hand want to share some insight? My only knowledge of them is from what I found on the internet.

The trialist from West Ham has excited the management most in training and looks to be a good prospect, however, I think he's spent a couple of weeks at league clubs (including Brentford) after his release, so I'm not sure how realistic his long term acquisition would be.

My mate who supports Concord rates Taylor Miles very highly, he was on loan there last season, says he never stops running and he was hoping he'd go back to them
As for Elliot Buchanan, this is what a Bromley fan says about him on confsouthnomads: Elliot Buchanan - bit of an enigma, if you can find his best position and give him a good run in the team he's a very good player at this level. Not an out and out striker, and certainly not a midfielder or wide player, had his best games for us when he played behin the striker or in a 433, in the middle. Good passer and one of the best shots at our club last year. No surprise he left, he was good for a Plan B, which we didn't really have! We play 4-3-3 normally of course

Also from the Conference South forum: 'Max Lette-Jellow a decent squad player who stuck around for a while whilst we were in t'North. He will run but limited ability on the ball.'

I saw Elliot Buchanan a number of times, when he was playing at Northwood in the 2006/7 and 2007/8 seasons, before being snapped by Peter Taylor at Stevenage. He had come out of the Northwood youth set up but even then at 17, although inexperienced, looked to have considerable potential. Very left footed and seemed to alternate playing either wide left or up front as an out and out striker. He scored 23 goals in 26 games in the 2007/8 season at Northwood. He has played at Conference Premier level with Hayes & Yeading, Newport County and AFC Wimbledon so, in theory, should easily be able to handle Conference South. He is 25 this week.
