Completely forgettable apart from the excellent performance from James Comley at centre half, who proved that he can play at any position on the field, and the continued ducking out of challenges from Lowe. One late in the game on the edge of the penalty area as we were attacking was disgraceful. Comley, I agree with totally. His performance yesterday was absolutely sublime, head and shoulders above everyone else on the field. Unlike others I won't mention, even while playing cb. I don't recall one instance when Coms resorted to lumping the ball forward aimlessly in the general direction of Frendo or Thomas, when everyone in the ground knew that 95% of the time it was going to be gobbled up by their two big central defenders. What was the point? Perhaps someone could enlighten me. Lowe, I most definitely do not agree with. For most of the game, he was our only player capable of causing trouble and making inroads into and through their defence. In the first 15 minutes, Lowe and N'Guessan tore Stortford apart down the flanks, especially on the right hand side then for the next 75, nothing. The service to both of them just stopped. Why, for goodness sake? The first half was scrappy but acceptable. The second half performance was an insult to all those Saints supporters who made the effort to make the game. The plain facts are that some players are just not good enough, while some are definitely good enough but, for one reason or another, are not doing it and that is deeply disappointing. Both sides yesterday looked exactly what they were, two sides in the bottom 7. The result shows 2-1 but, even on the chances missed that were shown on the video, let alone the ones that weren't, a more accurate reflection would have been something like 6-2. The goals we did concede were poor. The first should have been cut out before it even found its way to Hayles and the second was appalling defending. I counted 5 of our defenders plus Joe Welch leaving Greg Pearson unmarked to head in. Oh for Gayle back in the defence and Beckles back in the holding midfield role. As for the swearing incident, it was not only a disgrace but embarrassing. Can you honestly imagine what would have been the upshot, had a Man Utd player uttered similar to Ferguson, when he was in charge there. I think we know the answer. The general indiscipline shown this season by some of our players has been shameful and it needs to be sorted out by the management team posthaste. Onwards and upwards, let's get this back on track tomorrow. We could do a lot worse than give Jack Green a start. COYS!

These players that are taking the p1ss. Please name names, then maybe we could get some reaction from them. As it stands, it appears that a large a majority of the players just do not care.

I for on have gotten a bit fed up of the honest interviews-they manage the team . If they aint doing it sort it out. And I sometimes think that I am watching different games from some other fans at matches. If , as a team, you are able to pass to each other, clear your lines(first time-not after taking ten touches) take free kicks n corners etc that are difficult to defend, then no fan would be able to complain as much as some of us do. The basics appear to be lacking at times a and as games progress we learn nothing. I am happy to say that for me , avoiding a relegation battle and staying in the league has met my expectations. However those expectations were based on a belief that a hard working team of players, whoever they may be, would put in shift after shift and, that as a result, we would only lose to markedly better teams, with the odd blip. sadly we have lost all too often to teams that we have made look better than they are. A settled squad for start of next season is an essential and we need to start looking for that squad from now. May I suggest the following team for todays match. GK-Ron Toms RB-Davymac LB-Ray RH-Eggy CH-Knocky LH-John F OR-Eggy IR-Skitz CF-Paul Toms IL-Hatboy OL-LostFox The bench is open to debate We will play 2-3-2-3

Eggy playing in two positions as well as working behind the jump in the clubhouse !
To be fair to James and Graham they normally give players a chance then ship them out if they are not up to the job, I'm sure they will have a decent squad in place for next season and I agree would love to see Jack get plenty of game time in the run in.

As Eggy has the apparent energy of a hamster on speed I felt that two positions and the bar was well within his capabilities! Honesty is a wonderful thing. However, whilst they may ship players out if they aint up to it, it is the managers who pick them to play. Anyway, the sun is shining and my optimism is high for today!
