well as you can see i'm a maidstone fan, hope this doesn't offend anyone, and the avatar can be removed if so. this may be a bit premature as we haven't won promotion yet, but as i used to live in st albans, i have a great affinity with the place. thought i'd pop in here and see if i can get any advice on what to expect if we do go up. also like to add that everyone down here at maidstone are a fantastic bunch, and also one of the best supported teams in non league football. looking forward to the trip back anyway, if we do go up. here's hoping.

From what I hear there's a bit of a gulf between ryman prem and CS, so it'll be interesting. Just be great to get up there and see how we get on.

well we made it, and everyone here is looking forward to the trip to st albans. seems to be the general consensus that it's one of the best away days on the calender. having lived there, i can see why. looking forward to making the trip back in april, lets hope we're both in with a chance of the play offs to make it a bit more special. good luck for your season, not such a good start, same for us, but early days yet. hopefully give you something to cheer about from hemel next tuesday. you'd be our eternal friends too, if you beat gravesend on saturday, good luck for that one, unfortunately i think you're going to need it.

Cheers - I think you're right! I heard Fleet were strong when they visited you this season and had Parkes in top form unfortunately... you may also need some luck when Oxford City. They look to be a very strong team

your right about fleet, though they may have been particularly charged up for their game with us, with it being the first derby between us since 82. not sure which one parkes was but their no.10 was something else, and looked like he should be a few leagues above. very fast and dominant in midfield, strong defence too. funnily enough though, they didn't look too much up front, and unitl they got the first didn't look like scoring at all. have to admit they were better than us, but not as much as the scoreline suggests, and they are beatable. funnily enough, they're last 2 seasons have started with back to back wins followed by defeats to unfancied teams. here's to history repeating itself, all the best for tomorrow.

Parkes got both of their goals against you...! Hopefully he doesn't keep up his previous Hemel form of scoring against us...

Parkes got both of their goals against you...! Hopefully he doesn't keep up his previous Hemel form of scoring against us... he did indeed, though i think given the team they have, he may not be your foremost problem. their number 10, as i mentioned before (could be parkes?) is something else, and their number 6 (bonner, captain?) are 2 to watch for. they're very fast and give no quarter, after the game against sutton, they seemed a step up again. but against a different team (you) it may be a different story. good luck tomorrow anyway, will be checking the latests to see how it's going up there in sunny st albans.

The Ebbsfleet No10 is John Paul Kissock, who was at Whitehawk last season. Ex league player and I am guessing that he won't have come cheap.
