I think release of Hilliard was just a matter of time after Jimmy's post match interview on Saturday... Montgomery I understand could be a very good signing but won't be available tomorrow, he'll join us for the FA Cup game against Petersfield Town

I'm surprised Hilliard had lasted this long. Another player who is too good for the Southern / Ryman League but not good enough for Conference South.
Montgomery is an excellent signing who should give us the width we have been missing.
Not sure about the step up from Harpenden Town though. Will have to see how Jimmy handles it.

I see we have signed Jernade Meade. Played against us for Hadley last season ?

He was outstanding for Hadley against us - I understand Micky Hazard got him there to help him get back to full fitness

If we have signed Jernade Meade. it will be a great signing, I watched him play against us and he was the best player on the park that night by a mile. small quick/super fast and able to turn players inside out. Can not wait to watch him play for us.

Scored on his debut. Often showed promised for us but never produced consistently.

There is no doubt in my mind that the ability is there but you have to question whether the application is. I remember his final game for us last season at Maidenhead against Hayes and Yeading. We were going nowhere, heading for a dreary 0-0, when he came off the bench with around 25 to go, tore their defence to pieces and totally changed the game. We ended up winning 3-0.

I guess that if we are making new signings then that is tantamount to the chairman giving the managers a vote of confidence and that they will be in charge for the forseeable future.

If they were permanent deals then I would agree, but seeing as they're loans, most likely short term, I'm not sure about that summation. Quite possibly giving the management a last chance at mixing things up?

With the Christmas period coming up, you either change manager up to a couple of weeks before Christmas or just into the New Year.
Bishops Stortford at home on 2nd Jan and we will be more than half way through the season. That now looks like the tipping point after 2 loan signings.
