An easy start, please.
Any of these would do me fine -
Hanwell Town Cogenhoe Utd Uxbridge Potters Bar Town Witham Town North Greenford Utd/Mildenhall Hullbridge Sports Ipswich Wanderers Brentwood Town Carshalton Athletic Herne Bay Horsham YMCA Kidlington Eastbourne Town

One team I would want to avoid is Dunstable Town. Too many ex-saints who would love to put one over on their old club.
Anyone from a lower division at home would be preferable.

Any team on the way up the M1 would be nice, heading that way on the 26th so would suit me down to the ground.

FA CUP: We will face either Deal Town or Whitstable Town at Clarence Park in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round #sacfc
Pretty good draw at home against lower league opposition. All we need to do now is score and keep a clean sheet .......

I hope a sensible ticket price is agreed that reflects the level of the opposition.

Has the entrance price been set yet? As much as I like the look of the new club website, it is style over content when it comes to finding out useful information. I can find the date of the Deal game, I can even see a map of where Clarence Park is, but will I have to pay the full £15 to get in or will it be less? Sadly the club website is unable to tell me...

I will find out - I don't think it's been agreed yet....
Just for clarity, the website has a standard link to a map of the match location (home or away). The map is meant to be of course helpful for away supporters but also new supporters. Last weekend I was speaking to a new parent at my son's school and they were interested in taking their son to a football match and I mentioned the Saints. They didn't know about the football stadium/club and yet lived... around the corner from Clarence Park!

Ticket prices confirmed! www.stalbanscityfc.com/we-dare-to-dream/So it is the full £15 quid. I got a season ticket so I don't think reasonable to call me a causal fan and to be honest I am not that short of money but I am not paying £15 to watch us play a team in the Southern Counties East League. No one likes to feel like they are being conned and this is just taking the micky. £15 a bit strong for Conference South but to watch us play tier 9 opposition? It is just ridiculous, it feels like the club has no interest in or understanding of the mood of the fans (or maybe it just me). We must be making history (is this what the club means by daring to dream), has a FA cup tie with teams from a combined 15 tiers ever been £15 pound. We got to back ourselves to win so surely we could just have taken this rounds prize money as a given and set a lower price (with the £1925 compensating)? I find this decision extraordinary, sometimes we are a difficult club to like. Also in terms of boost the budget scheme etc surely this type of decision is just going to alienate people, so it ends up just being a false economy.

Ooof! Really? I thought a tenner would be a fair price to see a team from the Southern Counties East League.
No chance I'll go at £15, I'm afraid. I hope the team win and get a good draw in the next round – either one that is worth £15 or away to someone beatable! But that is a rip-off. No disrespect at all to Deal Town, either.

Just to put things into a form of perspective: I received an email last week from Leicester City advertising tickets to their League Cup clash with West Ham at £15 for adults. Utterly bananas that for the same price as watching the Saints v Deal Town you can see two Premier League sides go at it.

I'll be going but would have preferred a £10 admission...

I believe that both clubs have to agree the admission price in the FA Cup. Perhaps Deal see this as a payday for them ?
As a season ticket holder I won't be going at £15. A tenner would be a fair price. Will save my money for another day. Might as well stay at home and watch the rugby on TV.

Rugby will be better entertainment.
Is ridiculous to expect people to pay £15 to see us take on a pub team.
Another way to alienate the fans.

i would be careful about calling deal a pub team it might backfire on us especially if we lose, we have nine points from thiry three we are hardly brilliant!

If they charge £7, then £10-12 is surely agreeable between the two clubs for a 2q round match. I'm not interested in the economics. The fans swallow the fact that we pay the most in the league already, but the clubs refusal to budge for a couple of games a year, HSC games included is downright disrespectful to the loyal fans of this club. If the club had set the price to £12 noone would have batted an eyelid.
Seems like the fans give everything, can't think of a time that club ever give anything back ?
