Good news about Dean. What’s the situation with Sam? Sol and merson both signed contracts around February

Percy also signed a contract at around the same time, so those three can be added to the definitely in the squad next season list.

....unless somebody comes in for them pre-season of course. Money for the club but lost resource on the pitch........
Sam Merson, Theo and Junior Morias have been our own three success stories in striking positions in the last 2 years. I'd like to think we'll rebuke any offers for SM in the close season, but as IA always reiterates, he'll never stand in the way of any player given the opportunity to play at a higher league level (above National League). Respectful and correct attitude in my opinion, but we need somebody here to get the punters excited about watching the team. Would love to see Junior back here following his Posh transfer-listing, but they will certainly command a fee for him, rather than release for nowt.

To be honest in their day RMW and merson are better than junior or theo

I know last pre-season somebody on here started compiling a list of Players forming the Squad, but l don't know who did it, but l remember seeing it on here. Well it showed where we were in terms of personel, so if that happens again, it'd be good.

Our major problems last season last season were at the back and with a lack of leadership on the pitch. Until we address these we are not going to make any progress and I have a feeling based on the other likely contenders in our league and looking at their recent signings that we will certainly not find it easy to reach the play-offs without serious strengthening in key areas.
Our management team have the best possible connections in our "catchment" area, so let us hope they make the right signings etc.
I see that Dagenham have released Jake Howells who played under Allinson at BW, left sided/left midfield ?

The problem with the team was too many big names bottling it and not showing up during the final 6 games of the season.
Two seasons in a row where we've completely bottled a playoff spot.
Especially frustrating as we've had two strong cup runs which brought in substantial revenue which wouldn't / shouldn't have been included in the pre season forecast and the £40k (+ Add ons) From the Morias fee.
Speaking of Morias, seeing as he's on the transfer list, will be gain any £ from any fee Peterborough receive?

Alledgedly our new Assistant Manager has come in to help sort out the defensive side of things so we'll see.

These were clearly our major problems last season and both need addressing, urgently. Experience is key in both areas. You cannot hope to seriously contend, when you ship 58 league goals in a season. Callum Reynolds has also departed Aldershot Town but I am guessing he might prove to be little too expensive.

experience doesn't come cheap The knock back on the planning will affect the owners' willingness to invest I only hope we can maintain continued improvement next season

Not sure who these big names are? Maybe David noble. We've got a young inexperienced squad that did well most of the season. Can't be too surprised that they crumbled at the business end of the season. Next season will show what they're really made of.

Need to find a new striker that can play alongside Merson, I thought Bradbury would have worked well given the chance, not sure if he’s a single again. Hope it’s not another season of loan flops. Can see a formation change to 5-3-2 this year. We were too easy to play against back end of last season

Tingey moved to Hendon at the turn of the year and helped tighten up their defense and although a defensive midfielder Diedhiou chips in with a few goals too

I’m pretty sure Tingey has been at Hendon for the last 3 seasons and before that with MK Dons.

Well, as has already been well documented by different people, it certainly is going to be tough for us next Season, but at least we seem to be on the same budget as we had last Season, or at least that's what IA is Quoted as saying in that report. Looking at how the squad is shaping up for next Season so far, we will certainly need our new signings to gel in Quickly with all our re-signed Players from last Season, and above all, we hope they have learnt from last Season's deficiencies and put in an improved level of results and performances, with the sides coming into this League next Season we have to be hitting the ground running

Diedhiou is big and strong, something we've lacked in midfield so hopefully he can strike up an excellent partnership with Sol! I believe he can also cover defence so that's always a positive to have some versatility.
Luke sounds like a good prospect who while at MK was being touted for a trial with Man Utd. It would be great if we can help him get back into the pro game and he returns the favour with some performances!

Well, as has already been well documented by different people, it certainly is going to be tough for us next Season, I'm not sure next season will be tough, the main difference will be the money involved in the clubs that arrive in the division (Billercay, Woking etc) We will have a large majority of the team that finished 8th last season, this team will also have another years experience added to it, also I think our new assistant manager will sort the defence out, I see no reason why we should't be looking to finish around the same ball park next season

I hope our new assistant manager does "sort out the defence" and I am sure he is a good coach/manager, but his previous club conceded on average 68 goals per season over the last three seasons. Our new signings so far do not significantly strengthen the squad. Where is the tough ball-winning central midfielder we need, and where is the experienced and influential central defender who might indeed "sort out the defence" ?
