They've had most of the play so far but we've had the only shots on target two good early chances.

Well l wasn't there but given our recent results, l'd have taken a point and particularly a clean sheet, before the start of the game today.

Today was a day to get back to winning ways, never mind, on to the next one I agree, of course we need to get back to winning ways and a win today would've been great, but the fact that Gloucester are where they are in the League, arguably made it harder going into this one, given our performances last season vs Hungerford, Bognor and Whitehawk, all sides That on paper we should've beaten as they were all struggling. That, coupled with what must be a dip in confidence at the moment after the recent defeats, suggested to me that this could've been a tricky one, hence my hopes for not getting beaten again and not conceding any more goals in this one

1 point out of 12. Looks like we’ve been sussed out yet again.

One shot on target all game in the first few minutes and I missed it because I was buying a golden goal off Knocky! 😆

The fact we struggled against the relegated teams last year means we should've learned our lesson and done better this year, rather than just carry that on

Abject.a truly horrible game between two very very poor teams. Not back on track at all.Rot not stopped. As for not conceding they had no shots on target due mainly to their ineptitude rather than our great defending.theyve conceded nearly as many as we have and only scored 11. Our midfield was static and Ralston got no service. I hadnt seen Saints play since Taunton debacle. No change. No progress. Same as. Taunton wouldve hammered either team.A trip to Weymouth to play another team from leagues below. They must be panicking. One of our supporters on Saturday asked" What do they do at training?"Indeed.Heard a Gloucester fan state that we were poor.! Difference between Sh*% and Sh*%e IMO. Well done to fans who made the trips to Torquay and Evesham many of whom also journeyed to Taunton. Deserve to see better fare. This isnt the consistency we should expect. Our recent wins have clearly only been papering over the serious cracks. Our trip down the table seems to have started a bit earlier this year. A win is needed Saturday.Got to love lagermans take. a job in politics beckons!

I am beginning to think that Lagerman might be IA or a close relative ?
Anyway, I have never heard such nonsense about the squad. The back four are sub-standard in varying degrees so change them ! There are plenty of good defenders right under our noses. Jorell Johnson at Kings Langley is one, the Bishops Stortford right back Johnville Renee is another, Charlie Wassmer is currently on loan from Woking at Leatherhead, Richard Orlu is on the bench at Welling......then there is Olufemi at Haringey, Luke Tingey remember him ? David Longe-King at Biggleswade.
What is Gardiner White meant to be ? Noble must be costing the equivalent of 2 other players.
I know it isn't easy for our manager, and the squad is at least one player light to begin with, but to hear from him that no one is coming in to strengthen the defence is worrying.

Olufemi has had a good season at Boro and Saints fans who've seen him feel hed be an asset to SACFC..he was unfortunate to have last touch v AFC but at least was there..I find it incomprehensible that IA has not sorted the glaring problem we have had for last three seasons..sort the defence out..not conceding to Gloucester does not represent progress..however Im so addled that Ill make the three dash to Weymouth after golf on Saturday in the expectation of a good performance and a convincing win..BTW..Santa does exist doesnt she?

This was an awful game to watch, between two very poor teams. I don't know about a 'bobbly playing surface', as the ball was in the air 75% of the time so it would hardly have mattered. We had no midfield, there was no cohesion at all and there seemed to be no game plan. It just looked like 11 individuals out on the pitch, as opposed to 11 players playing together as a team. Launching balls continuously from the back in the general direction of Moyo and Gabriel was a pointless exercise against their big defenders. In fact, Gabriel didn't do that badly, considering the scraps he was trying to find feed off. On Saturday's showing, if we had be playing against anyone in, say, the top 16, we would have been taken apart. The saving grace was that Gloucester were woeful and only by the number of shots they had on target, marginally better than us. Play like that at Weymouth and there will be only one outcome and it won't be a good one. Come on Saints. You are capable of a lot, lot better than this.

By what you are saying there Boomer, it sounds like it's tactics or the way we were set up at Gloucester, or something like that. We certainly are better than that, and l am sure we'd all like to know the answers as to why we are just not doing it consistently on the field of play. We can play some pretty decent stuff on our day and have had one or two decent results this Season so far, but not enough. We are a young-ish team, are we preparing well enough? are the players taking in their instructions? are we setting up right, has team selection always been right? Perhaps the injuries and niggles that some of our Players have been getting, is disrupting us, preventing some of our players playing consistently to their full potential? Of course as we all know, we are a small squad and for whatever reasons we haven't been bolstered by any loan signings lately, apart from that goalkeeper who came in. Confidence is key of course and we are a youngish team that are maybe lacking a good bit of that at the moment, which only really comes with consistency and good performances/results. It's a myriad of things l think, and all we can do is hope that we get back to winning ways, get some consistency going and just keep working hard. COYS!!!

We are not a youngish team ! Herd, Diedhiou, and Noble are all 30 or more, Noble a lot more, Gabriel is late 20' s, so is Kamdjo, Moyo, and da Costa are 24/25, we are just not a very good team, that although it can score goals cannot defend.

Careful the apologists will start stating he is an attacking coach again even though the club statement said he was brought in to tighten up the defence !
