Nobody can blame the Council for tonight's result at all. We had a reasonable amount of possession, we did try to put some moves together, but we had no end product and gave away 2 poor goals from our prospective. At the end of the day we just weren't good enough tonight and we only had 4 subs on the bench, with Josh Banton having gone back to Torquay and Ben Herd unavailable. lA may mention it again about the size of his squad in his post match interview and may again talk about how injuries and player availability has affected us. Well, all facts they may be, but not getting anyone in on loan in certain positions that we've needed loans to come in on, for whatever reasons, has not helped, so until we do address that, it seems we'll be paying the price for our squad size if we have players picking up injuries or having suspensions etc. It's not easy though, getting loans in, getting the right players in, and l appreciate that. At the end of the day, Management have to look at things and do the right things to put it right, let's hope they do. COYS

COYS It doesn't matter how much possession you have, if you don't use it, which we didn't. We play like 11 individuals, not as a team and we didn't work anything like hard enough tonight. For a team in the top 2 of the Southern Prem South, I felt that Weymouth were distinctly average but still had far too much for us. If they had come at us in the first half after taking the lead, instead of sitting back, they could have wrapped the game up by half time. This was poor fare, indeed. The whole season has been up and down to a degree but a good many of our performances over the past month have been absolutely woeful and we are not seeing any visible signs of improvement. That is worrying, because if it continues, we are going to find ourselves in and around the drop zone before we know it.

4 goals in the last 6 games so why are the best two strikers on the bench Ian ? 66 minutes before Gabriel came on and, at least brought some life to the forward line. If he is fit, shouldn't he be starting every game?

If he is fit, shouldn't he be starting every game? I find it mad that we’ve switch from our strength which is to score goals to focus on a more defensive formation, even though we can’t defend. I’d be starting Gabriel and Merson if it was me. Merson has not started more than 2 games on the spin all season despite top goal scorer abs player of the year last year. Moyo just doesn’t have the instincts the other two have. Don’t know about everyone else but I preferred when we was scoring loads of goals and conceding loads too. At least we was winning.

To get knocked out of both of the cups by teams in a league below us is very disappointing. I agree with the above with Merson and Gabriel starting, why are we persisting with someone who Hemel didn't want. We've had enough of other clubs hand me downs over the years. A win against Truro is a must however I've just looked at their form and they've seemed to have turned a corner.

There's still the Herts Senior Cup v Hertford Town to play. With a small squad most of the regulars will be playing.... Need to do better than we did in July against them though.

I thought I had wiped out the memory of that Hertford July game forever. What an awful evening that was. I appreciate that the regulars have had even more suffering this season.

Thought the performance was poor but what annoyed me the most was Glen Alzapeidis reaction every time we lost the ball. He would turn his back in disgust....if we are going to get back to winning ways the management need to build up the confidence which is rock bottom right now. Also agree with merse and Ralston comments.

First goal - crap defending. Second goal - crap defending.
I guess that just about sums up how things are going. I feel so sorry for you regulars who have to witness this week in week out.

Well l must admit, l do listen to the post-match interviews, l know it's generally "same old, same old", but l think on the whole, Ian does realize what he has to do, more so now, before it's too late, and that's to change things around a bit player wise, bringing in replacements for players just not doing it and/or bolstering up the squad. I do genuinely believe he's tried to stay loyal to the players for long enough, as long as he can, but judging by this latest post match interview, the time perhaps now has come when actions do finally speak louder than words. I really hope so but as l have said before, it's maybe not that easy getting players in. Unless lan is doing it within his budget, he's got the task of approaching the owners for anything outside of that and he probably has to run anything by them anyway, then they've got to be the right players, players that are actually going to improve us, but then, even at this level, you've probably got agents to deal with, not to mention silly money being asked by clubs at this level and players themselves. I don't know, at the end of it all, let's just hope that we do improve, maybe with some decent personal changes, COYS!

Incidentally I agree with those who have said they want to see Ralston and "Merse" on from the start up front. I too would like to see that.

Can we send this defence coach back to Canvey Island.
Our defence is more leaky than the Titanic!
Has anyone seen a training session this season. Would like to know what he is doing.
