Well, we'll just have to see what League we are in next Season, regarding the admission costs, unless anything changes in the meantime. If we are still in NLS next Season, you'd hope the owners can reflect back on this Season and the discontent that the raised prices have caused, and change it accordingly, but even if we are not in NLS next Season, the fare structure will need revising fairly for wherever we are, it goes without saying, doesn't it

Well, yes, true, but l was only saying, that was all. The main focus is, as it has to be, is what's happening ON the pitch, and our immediate focus today, Hungerford away. We owe them one l think, for the heavy defeat we got there last Season, COYS, let's get some much needed points today!

What's happening on the pitch is affected but what the owners are doing off the pitch. It's silly they haven't held their hands up and acted already, it will be ridiculous if they don't hold their hands up and act before the end of the season

They also budgeted for a decent cup run last season which didn’t work out
How clueless must you be to budget for an FA Cup / FA Trophy run?!

From what I saw on Tuesday night, the team looks good enough to finish well clear of relegation and should manage to make mid-table.
The thing that's a concern should be the flat atmosphere round the place and the fact that while Saints' crowds have fallen so much. Even Hemel Hempstead are getting bigger gates. They're averaging 620 at the moment – almost 100 more than Saints. Okay, so Hemel are in the top four at the moment but still.
Vauxhall Road isn't my idea of a beautiful place to watch football but they have built something there and continue to go in the right direction.

That's funny that I remember someone posting about a post that was put on faceless book or twatter about the atmosphere being better with the fans that were boycotting not being there and slagging some of them off !

Saints have just Tweeted to say that there's an exciting opportunity to sponsor this weekend's game against Weymouth.
Anyone know how much it costs?
And how many of us would need to club together to sponsor the match in the name of a campaign to return the matchday admission price to a more reasonable £15.
The tannoy announcement would say: "A big welcome to today's match sponsors: "£15 is enough for National League South matchday admission."

Madness that the club don't have sponsors lined up for games already, maybe Lawrence has another brother with another company that can help out.
Also kinda madness that interested parties should contact the manager IMO, I know he's got a new role now but still, priorities...

Rather than thinking of it as a way to get into the ground more cheaply by dividing the cost of sponsorship among us, I was thinking more of using the opportunity to publicise the campaign to reduce entry fees.
I presume that match sponsorship gets something printed in the programme and a mention on the tannoy.
So I was wondering whether it would be worth it to hear them say on the tannoy: “Today’s match is sponsored by the Campaign to Return Matchday Admission at Clarence Park to £15. A big thank you to our sponsors.”

Problem is a) Lawrence and his spineless yes men won't allow it and b) the programme and tannoy publicise stuff to people already in the ground who therefore already know the ridiculous ticket prices

I dunno if it helps, but the first time that I remember paying in decimal currency to get into the Park (vs Wycombe in 1971/72 - a 1.0 win) it cost 10 pence as a junior. Inflation-adjusted to 2019, that would be £1.40 (equivalent gate price £6-8 today). Clearly the modern day entertainment must be a substantial improvement on the early 70s.
I particularly remember that game because I dropped the ten pence piece on the floor outside the York Road entrance and lost it, there were so many people thronging through the gates. I only got in when my Dad came back to the gate later to find out where I was. So strictly speaking it cost me (or more accurately, my Dad) 20 pence that day.

Pretty much going up a pound a time (except conference e season) roughly every 3 season until LL came in.
At that rate should be about £13 to £13.50 now

It looks like League prices for the Cup Tie next week. The way we’re playing anything more than 300-350 will be a bonus.

No disrespect to Worthing at all but £18 to see St Albans versus a mid-table team from the next division down is potty.
Surely they will reduce prices. It should be a tenner and a chance to get a decent crowd in to see hopefully a good win. I'm at a loose end next Saturday but it looks like I'll be going to Kings Langley instead.

I think if Worthing had anybody down at our place today to run the rule over us in our shocking performance v Weymouth today, they'll be licking their lips at the very strong probability of winning the £6,000 or whatever it is, of going through to the next round of the FA Cup

That’s a statement of fact! No disrespect intended at all. You’re ninth in the division below the National League South. Ninth to 14th in a 22 team division is literally the definition of mid-table!
I mean, take offence when you perceive you’re being belittled, or called a pub outfit, by all means, but come on...!

And, judging by today’s result, you’re a team with a defence as leaky as a sieve, as opposed to our colander. So there should at least be plenty of goals for those who want to pay £18 to watch the clash between Saints and the lower division underdogs (plucky).
