For those of you that like to pre-book/buy tickets online they're actually more expensive than turning up at the gate!!
Adults £12.96 Concessions £5.40
You get charged a booking fee on top.
That makes no sense with the queues they get at their turnstiles. You'd think they'd be same price at least.

Shocking performance. Noble was the only player to put in a shift and got substituted. Should have played two up front from the minute they went down to 10 but it looks like we are offering little threat up front. I guess we'll be playing the long ball game after that for the rest of the season as per usual. I wish I could be more optimistic

Our overall performance was disappointing but it was never shocking. Dulwich were a half decent side, even with the 10 men. We have a big problem up front in the final third and we have to begin converting some of the chances that we are creating. Braintree on Tuesday night would be a good place to start and we must play Merson together with Iaciofano up front. Our best 2 players on view this afternoon were Longe-King and Kaloczi.

Merson and Icafiano have a partnership going and we need to build on that give them a run of games together and get us some goals! Never going to be scoring machines when one of them is always sitting on the bench. Unlucky today against a good side. Time to get our first win this season In the next 7 days. 2 big games. COYS

I thought Dulwich were there for the taking, particularly after they went down to 10 men, but we were unable to do that. A good passing performance across the park but it was stuff without a cutting edge. I think there is ingenuity to create goals there but I'm not sure overall that there is enough there at the moment. Playing 2 up top might well help though and we need that at times and some physicality up top too

This was the first chance I have got to see the Mighty saints this season. I'm not sure why people are being pessimistic already. The first 20 odd minutes was a pleasant suprise. You could actually see patterns of play and well thought out attacks. Nwokboukei very much set the tone for both attack and defence. They really didn't know how to defend against him and who's responsibility it was to pick him up as he operated in the space between midfield and defence. He was also the enforcer of the press and intercepted the ball or retrieved the ball several times. As soon as he went off with the injury the balance of play swung and thankfully the red came when it did. Where we currently seem to becoming unstuck is our finishing. We had enough chances to bury them today and really should have scored three or four. Dean didn't have to make two many saves bar picking the ball out his own net. I hope they don't get put off from playing football rather than our usual lump the ball through the channels football. If they continue to play how they are and start finishing their chances this could be the best team we have seen in a while. Even the strikers are making some clever runs.

I think that there has been a concern all pre-season that the team looks too small and lightweight to compete in this league.
Pretty football is great but ultimately we were beaten by a fairly limited (10 man) team who were bigger and stronger then we were. One of the best footballing sides that we played last year (and most years) was Weston and look what happened to them.

Good point boojiboy unfortunately I can’t see us scoring enough goals consistently through the season.
We played it around nicely at times yesterday however like at Dartford we lacked quality in and around the box.
Hopefully we can get our first win on Tuesday against Braintree Town.

I thought I'd be stuck for the whole match!

Try those comparisons at all the club's rather than just a trendy south London club pitchside and you did that as pre booking on the gate ours are 50% more expensive

The price comparison gets even more interesting when you compare overall costs of the match day:
Dulwich Ticket £12 3 pints of local Peckham Ale £15 Chips £2.50 Total £29.50
Clarence Park Ticket £18 3 pints of local Golden Ale £12 Chips £1.50 Total £31.50
So two quid cheaper despite the booze being a pound a pint more. How were the chips at Dulwich?
Interesting it took took three games to come up with this, did the figures not work at Dartford?

The reason that Dulwich is more on-line is because of the booking fee charged by seetickets
What nobody has picked up on yet is our £16.50 online purchase will include a booking fee but this is absorbed in the price, I've heard it's about 50p, so as well as being the most expensive team in the league to watch we are also contributing to the coffers of the online ticketing agency, when you take into account the booking fee the club is only making an extra pound on what would have been the cash purchase on the gate last season if you book in advance
The original post about the comparison in prices has also raised some interesting points but probably not the ones the poster intended It has long been said a way of increasing revenue would be to increase the prices in the ground and make the match day experience better
So yes, our golden ale is £4 and when compared to many of our local pubs is very good value, however if you put 50p on the price of it it would still be very good value and I doubt people would be boycotting the golden ale, it would also raise more money over the season that the price rise has However, the Peckham Ale, in comparison to the other pubs in the area, at £5, also represents good value
Chips Well I remember one of the very first fans forum when LL arrived, we were the trailblazers in non-league gourmet food department, way before Wealdstone brought in their excellent kitchen, and the first question was about the price of the chips and before we knew it we'd ditched the nice food and replaced it with subsequent greasy spoon vans I never eat any of the food at the ground, I always eat in the pub beforehand, this is another lost revenue steam, bring in nice catering for the matchday, make the football ground the place where people choose to eat on a Saturday afternoon My point being, you can't charge more than £1.50 for them chips
Mind you, you can't charge £16.50 / £18 for football at this level but that hasn't stopped them, maybe we should put the chips up to £2.50

Hi pitchsidesaint, ignoring your rather selective use of numbers, you're pretty much making the same point a lot of us have made previously. There are more inventive ways to increase revenue and charging a premium for better quality food and drink is one of them. Dulwich Hamlet's season tickets are excellent value at £151, which might go some way to explaining why their crowds are over 1,000 higher than ours. That's a lot of additional people paying £5 a pint for fancy craft beer.
