I think the FA Cup and FA Trophy will be a test of the boycott for home games.
Can't see many people paying £16.50/£18 to watch a Ryman League North team for example. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to show their feelings on the price rise as well.

Surely if the draw gives Saints a home game against lower division opposition they'll drop the prices to a tenner, won't they?

Shame it's not away, potentially £18 for a game against a team two divisions below is even more ridiculous than normal

I can see the attendance being around 200-250 if full price is being charged for the game.

I wouldn’t think there’s any chance of the prices being reduced. I also don’t think calling a side from one level below us “a pub side” is particularly clever. That’s where we were from 2011 to 2014 and I wouldn’t have liked anyone saying that about us at the time!

A pub team with over double your average attendence this season and a higher average crowd last season despite you playing teams like Torquay and Woking with massive away followings. Think before you speak next time..

Think before you speak next time.. Have a look at the Ticket Prices 2019/2020 thread. Club owners have increased tickets prices from £15 to £18 this season and gates have dropped significantly this season. Many fans of 25 years or more are boycotting home games in protest at the increase. Agree that terms like 'pub side' shouldn't be used, especially when we were in a league below not so long ago.

Point taken, but I note that your average crowd last season with the 15 pound entry was below ours. I remember when I came to our last fa cup meeting and we had a higher crowds then too. Hardly a 'pub team' We are possibly the bigger club

Personally, l wouldn't disrespect any team a league or leagues below us. Whoever it is we play in the next round, they'll be fired up for it and we could easily be dumped out of it. We've struggled before against teams below us in the cup, Deal Town and Cambridge City.

Also don't confuse having bigger crowds with being a bigger club. The £15 entry will've put people off too. Just concentrate on winning your replay first

Are gate-receipts divvied-up between the home and away teams and the FA in the FA Cup? Presumably any loss of revenue is offset by payments from the prize fund.

Why would we want to to drawn away to worthing or hastings? So fans who are rightly boycotting home games can go to a game.

They are yeah, I think it’s a 50-50 split. Based on the announced attendance I don't see them manipulating the attendance for this game as not only will they be losing money on the gate they would lose money that way too

Think before you speak next time.. Attendance doesn't dictate the quality of the football. I think a well drilled pub outfit could give you a good game. We will see how strong you are when we meet. I won't be in attendance if the gate is £18. £18 to take on a Division 7/8 is daylight robbery especially in these economically challenging times.

Trust me I know that Attendence doesn't dictate quality of football given our home form last season and the Hornchurch thumping this season. IF we meet! Hastings are a very good Step 4 team and could very easily have beat us in the original tie and there is no guarantee we will meet. I remember it was 15 quid last time we played you when we were step 3 which didn't change your original price for national south games so I don't expect you will change prices for this tie unfortunately. It's daylight robbery for Step 2 football anyway, I'm sure you all are tired of hearing comparisons but for my 'other team' in league 2 it's 15 pounds to stand up and we are playing Bradford and Plymouth compared to 'pub teams' from steps 3 and 4

The rest of the chat was about £18 being too much for a game against tier 7/8 opposition, which I'm sure we're all in agreement on. It's too much against tier 6 opposition too fwiw.
