Surely the squad is better than the results say? Just one win in six at home. For home fans paying full admission it's currently costing £21.60 per point.

The fact Bawling is still anywhere near the squad let alone starting is ridiculous, and the constant use of zoomed in photos to hide the crowd on the official twitter page is pathetic

Sprague, Bawling and Miles are awful. We’re missing Sambou the midfield has not been good enough. Will be very surprised if there isn’t any new players coming in this week

Did they deserve anything out of the game?

I don’t like picking out individual players, but I have to agree with saint100. Sprague, Bawling and Miles aren’t up to it. For me, the jury is still out on Foxley and Nwabuokei. Of the summer signings only Iaciofano has added anything. I thought we played quite well in the first half and were unlucky to go in 2-1 down. But in the second half I never felt like we would score and although 4-1 flattered a pretty average Weymouth side, I can,t say we deserved anything out of the game. The way things stand we’re in for a relegation battle and, as for a Cup run, don’t make me laugh!

He said: "It was the full-backs making runs in behind us. We didn't track people well enough, we didn't stay with their runners and they caused us problems.Too ....... right. When we have 2 rbs unavailable and have to play a 3-5-2, as we did in the 1st half, you need 2 wide midfielders who are going to work their nuts off, tracking back to help out the defence. With Murrell-Williamson and Bawling (and Foxley, for that matter), you are never going to get that. They are fancy dans, with no end product on most occasions, neither of whom seem to have the first idea about putting in a telling tackle. When we switched to a flat back 4 in the 2nd half, we played a left sided player, Sprague at right back. He probably did his best but he is no right back. A very good friend of mine, who comes down to CP perhaps half a dozen times a season and who is very knowledgeable about football, league and non league, was horrified by what he saw. He said that it looked like a number of players looked as if they just didn't want to be out there today. I couldn't, in all honesty, really disagree with him. For me it was Braintree revisited but even worse and it was against a very average Weymouth side, made to look way, way better than they actually were. Forgetting the substitutes, the only players to come out of today's game with their heads high were Longe-King, Kaloczi, Bender, Adu and Iaciofano. There really were some dire performances out there this afternoon. Things have to change and change quickly.

How much are the performances being affected by the smaller crowds (although today's 642 seems to be at least half-decent) and the general sense of malaise about the place? I've only been once this season (Wealdstone) but thought the atmosphere was very flat, despite the big crowd.

It’s difficult to guess. The players must be aware of the boycott and maybe some agree with it. I would hope they’re (semi) professional enough to ignore it and concentrate on their own performances,

It was dull today. We showed nothing in the second half. Resorted to punting to 2 small strikers. Why? Agree with Boomer that some don't seem to want to be out there. Paid my £18 and feel even more ripped off than usual! May not be back in a while. No point in wingers cutting inside if they don't have a go.... don't understand the point of Bawling on the left wing.

The official attendance was 642 but it was another 'free tickets for schools' day. Without that the figure would be an estimated 500. Didn't seem that many Weymouth supporters either.
The atmosphere was flat today but given the dire performance on the pitch it's not surprising.

Can only agree with everything that's been said so far on here, we just weren't good enough, we were poor today, and on that showing and from what we've managed to achieve so far, 10 points out of 33, you'd have to say that we could be in for a relegation battle. There now has to be changes in personel l think, Allinson keeps on hinting about it in his post-match interviews, but maybe now we need to be actually doing something about it. Are the players even playing for Allinson ? You'd hope that that they were, but worse case scenario that they were not motivated sufficiently by Allinson or indeed Alzpiedi, does this mean changes of team management are required ? I prefer to think not and hope that's not the case. It is still, relatively early in the Season, but changes are beginning to look like they are needed, the way things are going, and they need to happen soon

I've only been once this season (Wealdstone) but thought the atmosphere was very flat, despite the big crowd. Weymouth's away attendances this season:
Maidstone - Saturday 3rd August - 2,015 Slough - Tuesday 13th August - 776 Chippenham - Saturday 24th August - 769 Tonbridge Angels - Saturday 31st August - 629 Oxford City - Tuesday 3rd September - 362
The Mighty Saints - Saturday 14th September - 642
We are currently averaging 549 at home after six games - over 300 down on last season's overall average and the average that the owners have apparently underwritten / budgeted for. After six home league games last season our average home attendance was 722.

Bawling, Sprague and miles are nowhere good enough. And need to go. I fully agree regarding Bawling, l'm not impressed by him at all. Sprague l'm not so sure about, he could be a useful squad member. Miles l'd keep, he's not a bad player. But whoever has to go, has to go, in order to have fresh faces come in, and we need it freshened up, we've simply got to be better than we have been so far
