Poole are now 1-0 up after 52 mins through Elliott. According to Hot Radio 102.8, who have the match on live, Hitchin are resting 7 first team players tonight ahead of their Herts Charity Cup Final this Thursday evening. Wonderful. Poole rested a number too for the Chesham game and subbed three at around 70 mins. You play for the benefit of your own club and not the others in your League. One rule that the Dorset FA introduced is that any U18 player that plays in the Senior cup is ineligible for the U18s cup.

you have had a hectic playing schedule and pressure on your players. wouldnt think you rested players witha view to a Dorset or local cup final. However, you play for the club as you say and Im sure you will be of a similar mind should Frome play their U-18s against us on the last day if you need us to lose to get you into play-off

Football Web Pages.co.uk have ourselves and Poole Town missing out in 6th and 7th in their latest Prediction League, although I don't read a lot into what they say; it changes daily. They have been more than a little wayward in the past and if they get it right, it will be the first time ever. www.footballwebpages.co.uk/southprem/league?sort=predictedLooking at the run-in, these are their predictions - Hungerford Town v Chippenham Town 1 Poole Town v Chesham Utd 2 Banbury United v St. Albans City X Chesham Utd v Stourbridge X Hungerford Town v Hemel Hempstead Town X Poole Town v Cambridge City X Cambridge City v Corby Town 1 Chippenham Town v Hungerford Town 2 Hemel Hempstead Town v Chesham Utd 1 Poole Town v Bashley 1 Stourbridge v Banbury Utd 1 St. Albans City v Biggleswade Town 1 Banbury United v Cambridge City 2 Biggleswade Town v Hemel Hempstead Town 2 Chesham Utd v Weymouth 1 Frome Town v St. Albans City X Hitchin Town v Stourbridge 2 Hungerford Town v Bideford 1 Poole Town v Arlesey Town 1 Points = Hemel 103, Chesham 98, Hungerford 87, Cambridge 86, Stourbridge 84, Saints 83, Poole 80 This is my take and allowing some leeway with the 3 Saints games - Hungerford Town v Chippenham Town 1 Poole Town v Chesham Utd 2 Banbury United v St. Albans City 2 Chesham Utd v Stourbridge 1 Hungerford Town v Hemel Hempstead Town 1 Poole Town v Cambridge City 1 Cambridge City v Corby Town 1 Chippenham Town v Hungerford Town X Hemel Hempstead Town v Chesham Utd 2 Poole Town v Bashley 1 Stourbridge v Banbury Utd 1 St. Albans City v Biggleswade Town X Banbury United v Cambridge City 2 Biggleswade Town v Hemel Hempstead Town X Chesham Utd v Weymouth 1 Frome Town v St. Albans City X Hitchin Town v Stourbridge X Hungerford Town v Bideford 1 Poole Town v Arlesey Town 1 Points = Chesham 103, Hemel 97, Hungerford 87, Cambridge 85, Saints 83, Poole 82, Stourbridge 81 And the perfect scenario..............................ok, it's never going to happen but we can dream Hungerford Town v Chippenham Town 2 Poole Town v Chesham Utd 2 Banbury United v St. Albans City 2 Chesham Utd v Stourbridge 1 Hungerford Town v Hemel Hempstead Town 2 Poole Town v Cambridge City 2 Cambridge City v Corby Town 2 Chippenham Town v Hungerford Town 1 Hemel Hempstead Town v Chesham Utd 2 Poole Town v Bashley 2 Stourbridge v Banbury Utd 2 St. Albans City v Biggleswade Town 1 Banbury United v Cambridge City 1 Biggleswade Town v Hemel Hempstead Town 1 Chesham Utd v Weymouth 2 Frome Town v St. Albans City 2 Hitchin Town v Stourbridge 1 Hungerford Town v Bideford 2 Poole Town v Arlesey Town 2 Points = Chesham 100, Hemel 99, Saints 87, Cambridge 82, Stourbridge 77, Hungerford 77, Poole 73

I not sure on what rational basis FWP predict Stourbridge to get a result at Chesham- given form etc. Obviously they could but I don't see how this is the most probable outcome. Also given the recent dip in Hemel's home form I have thought that on the balance of probability Chesham would get something from this match. A quick question on Hungerford, if I may (not sure if the correct tread), I did not go to Hungerford away but I distinctly remember them being awful at Clarence Park. I have put money on them going straight back down. Have they found a sugar daddy and signed loads of new players or was that just a off night. They seem what is euphemistically referred to as a 'physical' team

Every game we win is a bonus and if we win our last four we will probably be in the playoffs whatever happens v Frome a week on Saturday. It may sound arrogant but the squad we had before the "weather break" was playing well and feared nobody. The break and the three point deduction have done for us this year but success on the field is a joint effort between the on field and off field teams. Our our off field team had a massive job to do this season, maybe they came up a little short. So if you play a "weakened Frome" it will not be the cause of Poole failing to make the playoffs. Of course you still have to beat whoever is put in front of you.

With difficult games to go for all the other top teams, we can still finish 3rd. We need to start with a win against Banbury on Saturday. Chesham have finally lost and both they and Hungerford have got another 2 games in 4 days. Keep the faith. I want to plan my 500 mile round trip. Lol. COYS

I agree Hatboy, Saturday is massive for us with the other teams playing each other. Hope we can get a decent crowd to Banbury to cheer on the lads. For anyone who hasn't been there before make sure the Sat nat is working fine as it is one of the most difficult grounds to find I have ever encountered. Looks like you are going down a small industrial estate side road by the Railway station and suddenly the Ground appears!

Thats exactly where it is. you go down the side of the station car park. Proper little non-league ground ie a tip of a place. There will be at least 4 fans there-myself and Sat Nav wee man and Norwegian rolf. Might be some more i think.Time for the players to step up and give their all leaving nothing on the pitch. 3 wins a must. Nothing less. Any dropped points fatal at this time. My acca for tomorrow will be Chesham Hemel Cambridge and Saints. COYS

Thats exactly where it is. Tip of a ground. Proper non-league!!! Only one of Norwegians, rolf, over for game so am taking him. That makes four of us at least going! Win all our games. One at a time, any loss or draw is fatal at this time. time for the whole team to step up and give their all, leaving nothing on the field. Attack minded set up for team from start. Five games in a row-here we go. COYS
