Definitely! I'm hoping we'll be a top 10 side this year. Difficult start to season though.

Add Tom Coulton and David Longe-King and I think that would be a good squad for the season

Sounds like Malcolm may have been released

I think that given the number of attacking options - and associated budget implications - someone had to be let go. I liked Malcolm's work rate but the goal count was probably not enough buy I certainly wish him well. Glad also that boost the budget is making a difference

From St Albans Review report of Woking friendly :-
"Jimmy Gray confirmed Michael Malcolm and Rod Young have not been retained, and that Greg Ngoyi will not be returning to Clarence Park. Full back Howard Hall has joined National League South rivals Hayes & Yeading United.
Billy Gibson was given a second run out on Saturday but Gray is uncertain whether or not the midfielder will be offered terms."

Good news about Gayle, but I don't really understand the other signing. I see that Sow is predominantly a holding midfielder, so does that mean moving Comley to right back and playing Gayle next to Martin or Locke in the centre of the back four ?
We will see, and maybe Sow will not start tomorrow, but encouraging that Gray/Golds are prepared to make changes.

It is Scott Thomas who has been playing in the holding role in the last few matches and he has done really well. I don't see him being moved.

Winger/attacking midfielder Kevin Krans has signed. Former Bristol City player. Up on website (can't link right now, apologies).
Sounds like the wide player that the team has lacked recently, good to see the managers recognising that.

They must be listening to me - didn't I say that we just needed a winger/midfielder...?!

Jimmy does read the forum and listen to the fans point of view and does respond to them sometimes even if he does sometimes get frustrated with some comments but it is a good thing everyone knows where they stand, I think it all helps keep team, management, owners, chairman and fans all United in their goal/s

Krans appears to be a right footed attacking central midfielder, he has played as a striker too. Talented, but inconsistent ? We will see. I still think we need a wide left midfielder/winger who would give the team more balance, but good ones are hard to find.
