Of course no one expecting us to play like Barcelona but, for me at least, we are much worse to watch than in previous two years and worse than most clubs who play at the same level. I don't think that is too much to ask, you coach that into the players We played wonderful football under John Mitchell and the same players didn't under Steve Ketteridge We played unbelievable football under Allan Cockarma and the same players didn't under Alan Randell We played good football under Colin Lippiat and a lot of them players didn't under the 3 managers we had the following season We even played football that was right off the top shelve in the first month of the duo being in charge, remember that Leamington game and Hemel away and I think it was Banbury as well We have a wonderful pitch, as the Oxford City manager was overheard saying "why do we play football in the air with this beautiful pitch" I am not overly impressed with Theo and don't see his strike rate as anything to crow about-please no' when he gets the service' stuff. I've been impressed, he could do without taking as many touches sometimes and if he learnt to shoot first time he may get more success as one touch sometimes loses him the chance very questionable whether £15 represents good value for a Saturday afternoon. . I bumped into someone in the pub before Sat game and he said "lend me £15 and I'll come to the game" The price and attendences will come under scrutiny this season if we start doing badly

I've been impressed by Theo - yes, he does sometimes take an extra touch but that is often because he's not in a decent shooting position but agree there was an occasion on Saturday when could have shot first time - as could have Coms early in the second half.
Overall, player for player I feel we have a stronger team than the last couple of seasons -lots of potential promise from Sow and Krans in particular. The last goal against Basingstoke showing our potential when the passing flows as did Krans with his through ball on Saturday for Theo to score (from a position that I saw Frendo fail to score several times last season).
As a committed "non-leaguer" £15 (or £9ish now I am a season ticket holder ) for me and my son to get an afternoon of entertainment and socialising is good value. Last season I missed Sutton away to take some family friends from overseas to White Hart Lane to see Spurs v United. A 0-0 draw, occasional glimpse of atmosphere, long distance viewing of the match, no choice of beers etc made me wish I'd seen us lose 2-1 against a poor Sutton side. Clarence Park gets me up close, good people around me, debates about the team, can chat to players and managers - and win/draw/lose know I am supporting my local club.
Go to most away grounds and you see our problem, we have no facilities. Other clubs have function rooms, 3G pitches, gyms and more to hire out and bring in money to spend on the team. We don't have any of those luxuries - it's just gate money and sponsorship. There have been transfers in this league where fees approaching £50k have been paid - we cannot compete with that. The teams at the lower end currently are very much mainly those with similar finances. But of course I'd like to see us compete better (very despondent after 1-1 draw on Saturday but we have only lost once in September) but do think we have the quality to keep above the relegation zone - shame about the growing injury list however....
