Hi Riz,
Have you got Dave Tavener's contact details? He might be a good place to start.
Cheers

Not sure where to post this but here goes......
Whilst sorting through some old documents I have found some team photographs of St.Albans City 1912/13, players and officials carefully annotated. I would be pleased to give these to the club.
I know that Dave Tavener is the club historian so I guess I should contact him ?

Well done Saint, good old Tavs he'll know what to do. One of the most under-appreciated people at the club in my opinion

Agree, all the work he does behind the scenes which isn't noticed and at his own expense.
Prime example was him driving up to Harrogate instead of being offered a lift on the coach, yet he still does all the filming / interviews etc.

Does anyone know if Tav has ever won the Wagstaff Simmons award? If he hasn't, it's about time he did, considering all the effort he goes to with the videos of matches and interviews.

I believe that goes to paid members of staff at the club these days, instead of what it originally was put in place for.
(Leigh Page / Tom Norman winning in previous years)
I imagine Ian Allinson will be up for it this year

Tavs hasn't won it, probably beacause he likes to pull peoples' legs or take the mickey a little bit and some people take it a little bit too seriously I think that's why he doesn't get invited on the team coach to Harrogate, for example, when other people do Shame really, also it's not just the videos and interviews but the Minter headstone campaign, I think there was a book about the Saints during the war, general club historian stuff really that he does for the good of the club rather than anything else Maybe we can resurrect this thread a bit closer to the end of the season
