Non League Paper - Fantasy Non League Competition

Last season, a few of us City supporters formed ourselves into a League within this competition to add a little more interest. The league is admiinistered by Ian White (who runs the whole show) and is published on his website. The benefits of this 'just for fun' league is that the latest scores are published usually one or two days before they hit the paper, and can be seen every week - not just if you're in the top300 entries. If any others are interested in joining in this season, please let me know the name of your team - I will add it to the league and give you the link to the website. I also plan to print the league table and display in the clubhouse

Saints Supporters League 2010-11 is now set up with 10 teams at the moment - 9 who want to win and 1 who wants to finish bottom. According to the administrator, the website will be updated by mid September - I will post the link when received.

Mine was a bit late going in as i had loads of work on and tried to cram all my fantasy teams into one weekend but didn't quite manage it !

The league has now been set up. Logon on to www.iwfantasyfootball.yolasite.com and look for the tab 'Saints Supporters League 2010-11. The league is usually updated on Thursday/Friday before it appears in the paper on Sunday.

If any body else who has entered a team wants to join in - just let me know your team name.

I can't quite believe it myself Hatboy. Just got my NLP and turned to the fantasy football page. Apparently, I'm in the running for the manager of the month award for October! Is there a prize for that? *Crosses fingers*

You'll laugh when I tell you this as well - this is despite me picking St. Albans City as one of my teams in a naive moment of extreme optimism during pre-season. ;D Unfortunately, I'll no doubt have to sub us out of my selections when the time comes for making changes. But pretty much all of my other selections have been coming up top in each of the leagues over the past few weeks.

I see that you aren't too far behind in 18th place. At least we're doing the Saints proud in the overall table.

Crawley (subbed in), Darlington, Grimsby, Luton, Chelmsford, Dover, Woking (dont let me down Garry), AFC Telford (subbed in), Alfreton, Nuneaton, Cambridge, Hednesford, Salisbury, AFC Hornchurch, Kingstonian, Sutton, FC Halifax, Kendal,Northwich, Hitchin and Chester.

Took out Stalybridge and Enfield.

I've fallen so low in the table that I wasn't even in the paper's listing this week.

I take it you get extra points for play-off winners?

Hitchin have already done the business for you. So you need to be cheering on Luton and Chelmsford or Woking in the BSBP and BSBS play-offs!

Cheers i sat in 3rd for a long time and then dropped down to 6th as we went into the play offs thought i'd blown it but happy to finish 4th.

I haven't entered my fantasy team yet but will do shortly. Anyone else entering/already entering.

Maybe I'll send a PM to Vince to see if he is organising it again this year.

I'm not happy that you won more money for a Manager of the Month award Daedalus than i won for finishing 4th, most of us do it every season i can't see this one being any different !


I'm not keen on the change for this season about picking any 3 out of each division i think it was harder trying to choose out of the blocks of teams.
