He had some triallists playing yesterday, they did okay and of those, three of them seemingly will be replacements for Wyatt, Sambou and Moyo the way things stand, but what three l don't know. I don't know what's happened with Sho-Silva though, no sign of him. David Noble was at Haringey yesterday but didn't play, he is still recovering l think. Wyatt, Sambou, Moyo and Sho-Silva are 4 big losses in my opinion of we definately lose all of any of them, so how that's going to affect us this coming Season, we'll have to see.

If Im honest I wouldn't even be to bothered if they all left, judging from yesterday it looks like we've got a squad good enough to compete, can't fault their efforts over the seasons here but things change and players want a new challenge.

I don't think any of the trillist's were anything special yesterday certainly didn't look good enough to replace what we're losing on that display as for should of won by 4 or 5 lagerman (Haringey thread) I'm sure you base that purely on the second half, did you see the first half we should of really gone in losing at half time !

Well yes, that's true, we could have gone in 1 or 2 nil down, but we didn't, and then we had a few chances in the 2nd half, and yes, l did see the 1st half as well as the 2nd half.

For me i thought some of those players looked solid. Especially the second half showing. Obviously the loss of sol ben and david will be big but from yhe showing of what we already have and trialists it looked decent

on the post match chat video Ian mentions Sam Corcoran...….. what again ?

Post by lagerman on Jul 8, 2019 14:17:56 GMT
Did he ? I must've missed that, l'll just have to listen to that again. Ah .... with Sam I'm not sure it'd really work if he did come back. I admit that l was one of those that was really happy that he was coming back before because l thought he was very integral in our season when we stayed up and had that wonderful run in of good results, but Sam wasn't the same player l thought and l fear it'd be the same again if he came back again

I don't think he is either, but it might just be that IA gets him on board to make the numbers up if he thinks that some of the triallists aren't good enough for us and can't make up the squad sufficiently with them. I have to say though, l like the look of Darren Foxley, who left Hungerford at the end of last season. He destroyed us at Hungerford last Season so we could do with him doing it for us now. That's a good signing.

If there is a chance of any surplus money whatsoever (and I am not saying there is), it might be more prudent to use it trying to hold on to Ben Wyatt.

Sho- Silva has left due to health issues

That is a real shame that we have lost Sho-Silva, he was looking like a decent Central Defender before he got injured, but he has got to do shat he needs to do and do the right thing by himself health-wise. He is a young man with most of his life in front of him to live, and it's the same for any of us really, your health comes before anything else

Two good signings for us looks like we’re going to have some decent wingers this season but the new striker probably means Moyo won’t be coming back

We've lost some good players from last Season so we're going to need the new players to step up to the plate and hit the ground running come August 3rd

Yeah but you can't really go by what happens in the friendlies, it's when league points are up for grabs when it really matters. That said though, l agree with you, it was a decent performance today against a strong Stevenage side. All we can do is use these friendlies to work on systems, shape, fitness, good team spirit and understanding etc ....

Sam Corcoran has signed for Hendon, despite training with us and playing in preseason games.

what is the latest ref wyatt and sambou ?? Wyatt has been training with / playing for Halifax. They only appointed a new manager on Friday, so I guess any signings have been delayed.

what is the latest ref wyatt and sambou ?? Someone said that Wyatt was training with FC Halifax, but l don't know about Sambou. IA said in one of his pre-season interviews that they both want to try themselves at a higher level, the same as David Moyo, who was, the last time l heard, training with Yeovil Town.
