I am curious as to what Pitchside Saint thinks to supporters of other clubs paying significantly less than actual fans of the club. He's got a season ticket so why would he care?

Is it time to update the Saints' Twitter biography?

we have a poor side and the owners are charging £18, it doesn't add up. once the winter comes we will be down to crowds of 300 or even less.sounds like financial ruin!

It was posted elsewhere - 650 fans paying £15 would bring in £1,650 more than 450 fans paying £18. It's sad that the owners / secretary haven't realised that, and the spineless yes men are too busy saying yes and trying to justify the price rises to anyone and everyone rather than realising the maths doesn't work (putting ticket prices up doesn't mean the owners will put in less) and pointing it out to LL etc

The reality is that very few people will be paying £18 on the gate. If you then consider all the kids that are getting in for free and the other concessionary prices, the average ticket price is probably only £1 higher than last year. Crowds only need to be down by about 70 for overall revenue to be down. They're currently down by 120 on last year and 226 on the year before.

Is it time to update the Saints' Twitter biography? Shouldn't it be updated with 'The price of Hertfordshire' now?

It’s nonsense of course. I can only assume he was asked to post this by the club.
There are some suitable replies from Saints fans. Please read them and hit the “like” button on each one.

I don't have an account, saint68, so can't hit any like buttons unfortunately. On the plus side I can't be blocked I'm not sure what's more ridiculous, how out of touch the councillor is or how the club's propaganda machine thought that would be a good thing to retweet Will the circus ever end?

Looks like the club advertising the actual on the day price was indeed a one off for non-league day. Normal service has resumed

Looks like the owners or one of their spineless yes men has swung his blocking axe again, it's almost beyond belief that these idiots haven't woken up to what's going on at the club this season and where we are inevitably headed.
Ridiculous.

I thought this was a good one (for those that can see it and haven't been blocked)
At least 20% of the 'volunteers' shown are or were paid by the club in one form or another, possibly not for all the hours they've spent on the club but at least some of them

It's nice that the people who update the twitter account are given a spot on the coach to away games

Someone responded saying 'because it's crazy expensive,' to which Verulam Sport replied saying 'Our understanding is, that it isn’t if you buy your tickets in advance???' Yeah, if you buy your ticket in advance it's only at least 10% more expensive than any other club in the division. The propaganda machine rolls on

Haha
Pitchsidesaint or The Pitchside Bar or something has piped up in response to Verulam Sport saying 'Our understanding is, that it isn’t [crazy expensive] if you buy your tickets in advance???'
'Correct. Plus Young Saints scheme and schools offers get kid for free plus parent for a tenner. Under 12s always go free, students for £6 and family packages also give other discounts'
Economical with the truth, what a surprise

'When you put it like that, it sounds like good value for money! #VerulamSport #SACFC'
Oh dear - looks like Verulam Sport has been taken in (or taken over) by the bullsh*t. Ridiculous.

Wonder if there's any reason they visited on a day when there wasn't a game on and therefore didn't have to pay to get in

Why would ground hoppers especially from another country visit a ground on a non match day ? Rather defeats the point of the object

Nice to see the followers of the last 5 years are voting for the manager and team of the last 30 years, all the fans that have been supporting the club longer have all been blocked on Twitter so can't vote.
Also Michael Hill is using his multiple user accounts to vote for IA over Lord Lippiat #crockofshite

Leading the vote for right wide man is Rhys Murrell Williamson, hilarious. How he’s even on the list is beyond me. I guess you actually have to have seen some of the players listed to vote for them!!

Team voted in was ;
Paul Bastock, Howard Hall, Ben Martin, Omar Beckles, Tom Bender, David Noble, Allan Cockram, Rhys Murrell-Williamson, Steve Clark, Lee Clarke & Jimmy King.
Manager: Colin Lippiatt
No Peter Risley, Erskine Smart or Martin Duffield !!! Ian Allinson got more votes than John Mitchell !!! I could name probably half a dozen right backs better than Howard Hall, same with right wingers than RMW !!
I suppose these sort of votes are always going to go against the older players.

The more you look at the team that won the more hilarious it gets.
Just look at the defence!
