400+ Wealdstone fans not spending a penny inside the ground - it just gets better and better.
Just need Chelmsford to order takeaway pizzas to the ground again and that will be the cherry on top of the cake.
19th in the league, crowds significantly down on last season, club in tatters off the field, most expensive entrance prices - at what point do the owners accept they’ve made an error and reduce the prices back to the original?

I thought tonight that we battled hard, worked hard, played some decent football at times, but we were just beaten by the better team. Their 2nd goal was a worldie, you could argue that Danny Green should've been closed down before he got his shot in, but he took it well, but l don't know about the penalty incident. Was it handball, I'm not sure, being down the other end. Good crowd but half of it was Wealdstone fans. A decent all round match though. I enjoyed it, apart from the score of course. Now off to Hungerford, COYS, we go again!

Two other clear penalties? Dean, you are talking nonsense. To the match - a great game to watch for the neutral. Probably our best performance of the season so far but we were beaten by a very, very good side and the scoreline was a fair reflection of the game. We will play a lot, lot worse than we did tonight and win. A number of good performances out there, especially from Longe-King, Nwabuokei, Bender and Adu. The minuses - we never had control of the midfield all game, we are still giving away possession far too cheaply when not under pressure, we keep trying to walk the ball through organised defences and when we are in a scoring position, continually play the ball sideways instead going for the throat and shooting. A decent crowd, which looked more than the 805 given. My guess on the split would be 500 Saints/300 Wealdstone, with a good amount in the main seated stand being Saints fans.

Absolute garbage last night. From the moment I heard the starting line up I knew it was going to be another home loss. Why oh why oh why were RMW / Banton and Foxley on the bench?Surprise surprise RMW comes on and scores a blinder - albeit in last gasp 20 mins of the game (what is the point in that). I heard Allinson barking at RMW for losing the ball. He (Allinson) may want to direct his rants in the direction of Bawling (a park player at best). Where was Taylor Miles and why was Sprague playing on the wing. WTF is going on? One more thing...…. was the tannoy announcer on sixth form work experience? Listening to him announce / struggle over the names of the st albans players was ridiculous. Had he never been to a match before?

In a relegation dogfight, which you have to pay the most expensive gate to watch.

I've got a couple of Wealdstone-supporting friends, so I went along last night, feeling much more neutral than I usually would and stood with the Stones fans, not really by design but it just sort of happened. I paid £12 thanks to my pro club's season ticket. Good value at that price.
My best mate was a Wealdstone fan – he died last year – but since both clubs got promoted to this division we went to more or less every Saints-Stones game, home and away, and gently teased each other about our respective teams.
What a strange evening. I felt much less attached to the Saints team, partly because I didn't recognise everyone, partly because I was stood with the Stones fans.
Some observations:
Not many home fans in.
Strange to see all the attacking threat in the Saints squad sitting on the bench. (RMW, Merson, Banton).
Wealdstone looked a really good side. Apparently their budget is lower than last year but they are performing better. Money makes a difference but perhaps it isn't everything.
The atmosphere was pretty flat and the whole place seemed to be in a bit of a funk. No one starting any songs from the Saints end. The covered terrace was sparsely populated and quiet.
Saints actually played pretty well but didn't have Wealdstone's quality in the final third and the midfield was a bit huff and puff.
It was a definite penalty to Wealdstone. It must've hit the Saints defender's arm and hand three times in quick succession.

One more thing...…. was the tannoy announcer on sixth form work experience? Listening to him announce / struggle over the names of the st albans players was ridiculous. Had he never been to a match before? Apparently, the regular announcer had to pull at very short notice and the guy who took over last night very kindly offered to help out and step into the breach. If you are that miffed with his efforts, you could always offer to do it yourself, should the situation ever arise again. I'm sure the club would welcome an approach, especially as volunteers are at somewhat of a premium as they have always been, down the years.

Great game. Saints played best I've seen so far this season, but Wealdstone looked most likely in the second half.
Enjoyed it very much but that bloody moronic drum needs to be silenced - it adds nothing and takes away chanting / singing etc.
Maybe I'll take earplugs when I go again.
