New signing from watfordfc Lewis Gordon goes straight into the side in place of the injured Bender. Michael Clark, meanwhile, is reinstated to the starting XI in place of Longe-King. Just to confirm, it's Lewis Gordon in the starting XI and Rohdell Gordon on the bench!

Chippenham lost 5-1 at home to Dartford today whilst Hungerford lost 7-1 away at Hampton & Richmond. We remain in 20th place, one point above Chippenham Town who have a game in hand.
If it's possible, there are 2 worse teams than us.

I said to a friend of mine who was with me at the match, in the 2nd half long before it actually happened, that we simply had to bring Jefferson Louis and Rohdell Gordon on. I felt they could change things a bit. Look what happened after they came on, l felt that they gave us a different dimension. Jefferson'll chase balls all night long and he's 41 ! At least we weren't being penned back consistently in the 1st half from the 1st whistle which has in the past eventually resulted in us conceding the inevitable first goal of games and made it hard for us for the rest of games, althou obviously l realize we conceded first anyway today. But we weren't good either. But the fact that we weren't pressed back too much was probably cos Welling were poor, well l thought so anyway. This for me though, is definately is a missed opportunity to get some points on the board against a team in and around us, because you can't expect much from a game like next week, Bath away, a decent team. It's getting more and more like we are going to have to keep relying on Chippenham and Hungerford messing up if we can't sort ourselves out and that game on the 29th ?? Chippenham away ?? Well, that really is a 6 pointer !

We should have conceded one after about 12 seconds, they got through us at the first time of asking. Awful today. Loved the robust midfield of Noble and Shulton - that was ALWAYS going to work wonderfully in a bottom-of-the-table scrap....

Same old, same old. 80 mins before Louis and Gordon come on? They should have been on at half time. Absolutely crazy, when the ball has been continually hoofed skywards out of defence previously to two small forwards, who hadn’t a hope of winning the ball. The midfield was just clueless and Welling controlled the centre virtually the whole game. Leaving aside the two subs, our only players to come out of the game with any credit were Snedker, Fielding, Sundire and Lewis Gordon. Snedker was quite brilliant but could do nothing about either of the Welling goals. If it had not been for Snedker, we could easily have gone down by 3 or 4 against what can only be described as a very average Welling side. Worrying isn’t in it.

Any other manager would have been sacked by now, but there again this isn’t any other club. He’s got his feet well under the table. We still desperately need two new central defenders but still keep getting midfielders in. Also someone that can actually get a shot in on target, not sure of the stats but the last few games there have been very few on target.

Bring back Kamdjo and start him in the middle, was quality last season, I haven’t been able to go as much this season but I rekon we will probably JUST have enough to stay up.
