Sounds like he has been listening to the 'yes men' about how wonderful things are at the club.
I can already hear the spin when the gates drop again this year and it will all be due to covid-19.

This interview is like something I image is on North Korean radio. There is postivity and there is fantasy. I never realised what wonderful times we are living in under the guidence of the dear leader . Also how on earth is a new kit actually going to make us a better team- in fairness the interviwer is much worse than the head of communications.

I don't have any issue with Lawrence getting his mates to help out. Fair play to him for volunteering his time.
It might just be me, but not really a fan with how the club engages on social media. They try too hard to project a professional image that lacks the personal touch that draws people to non-league football. Hopefully the new fella will improve things. The interview wasn't great, but agree with Bob that it was more down to the interviewer.

Completely agree about them not really getting non league football.
The corporate sponsors are good if they plough lots of money in, but it's not something that excites the fans. Also the corporate money should be used to ensure we're not having to pay the highest ticket prices in the league. I'm hoping that all this work will lead to a positive announcement about tickets prices, although I won't hold my breath.

Over a season or two full-time secretary Tom Norman managed to get advertising hoardings the full perimeter of the pitch. That revenue plus cup run prize money and the Junior Morias transfer fee (and Tom Norman's salary once he moved to Stevenage) didn't help with ticket prices, so I'm not sure this will either. I also wonder whether corporate sponsor actually means a club sponsor or is just referring to an advertising hoarding. But again, nothing's been publicised so how would I or my company know?

And we've replaced Tom Norman with who exactly? a volunteer doing it all for free but making all the bad decisions, we want to sound all professional with head of communications and corporate sponsors and we have a guy with no experience of running a NL football club, who used to work for British Gas pulling the strings
I have nothing but admiration for volunteers but I wish they'd be a bit more sympathetic to the people arguing against the admission prices, especially as some of them now don't pay themselves or get in for reduced price

The New Head of Communications has a brand new twitter page - twitter.com/ColbourneTony/No posts yet as he only joined Twitter this month, but he does follow SACFC as well as City Youth, and is himself followed by Verulam Sport. He's also 'liked' a few messages - in fact, the last five messages posted on the official club channel. I wonder if they've hired him just to boost the numbers of likes and retweets they get on their ridiculous propaganda. It would probably be cheaper to go to one of those Asian click farms |

Haha And why is Leigh Page down as Stadium Manager and Safety Officer? I mean, he was Stadium Officer here in 2018, but was Club Secretary here in 2019 and again here in 2020... If someone's added the New Head of Communications / Press Officer surely Leigh's role is due an update as well? |

We know have a 'Matchday Media Partner'  This is really poor announcing team news on an image, as it's not accessible to visually impaired supporters. Ironic when we have a paralympian who regularly attends games at Clarence Park and is known to the owners. |

Is this the company they are using in Derby?
Talk about supporting local businesses especially as they had a good local business doing their graphics but that company associated itself with people who were speaking out against the owners so we know what happens there

The club are paying £30 a month for graphics for their twitter account from a company in Derby when someone who has been involved with the club for years offered to do the same job (if not better) for free. But yeah, ticket prices need to be high because the owners can't keep putting their hands in their pockets.
Looks like some of the graphics are a 'fill in the blanks' jobbie
