I think you might be taking too much notice of the forum mate. Only staff member is Mr Allinson and plenty of volunteers helping club out, actually more than it probably has ever had More than it has ever had - if true I wonder if that's anything to do with the fact that being a volunteer (and a yes man) has been the only way to get into the ground for the past six months

You ever been to Hemel away Expatsaint?
Not a very cuddly non league experience.

I am sure that we all have our favourite away grounds and, yes, Hemel never used to be one of mine. Personally, I always loved visiting what I considered to be the proper non-league grounds like Hampton and Leatherhead. Regarding the earlier point I raised, good to hear that staffing levels at Clarence Park are still kept to the minimum. I would just hope that long-term, loyal supporters and volunteers who feel alienated by the parent club at present, can be brought back into the fold and their talents and willingness to support the club in any way, shape or form, be appreciated and recognized. They are not looking for free passes to attend games, merely looking to help the club.

Reference your first sentence, you make a very salient point. Out of our regular supporters, who actually attend home games (not this season obviously), where average gates over the past 5 seasons work out at around 720, I would suggest that only a small percentage of that figure venture on to the Saints Chat forum and even less post on the various threads. I could be wrong but my guess is a viewing figure of no more than 15-20% of that average home gate figure and in all likelihood maybe a figure even further south than that. I would also suggest that a good many of our fans are unaware that the forum even exists. Consequently, all may not be quite as it seems.

Why don't you do an average when it was £15 and another when it was £18, rather than over the past 5 seasons Boomer? All may not be quite as it seems...

Next time I'll average out the attendances over the last 50 years, if you would prefer

I think attendance figures are a good barometer of fans' views on the club, the ownership, the ticket prices, the performances, the inner circle etc, rather than trying to guess how many people read the forum, don't you? Fans' forums also give a good indication. I didn't go to the last one but I can guess why we haven't had another one since.

I think our best hope is that LL & McGowan will eventually get bored of funding the losses and leave once the 'dream' of the new stadium disappears forever !! You want the current owners, who have been funding the losses for years, to leave. There’s gratitude for you. Two of the richest men in Herfordshire running this club but forever trying to penny pinch the support Haven't got the balls to admit they got the £18 totally wrong so would rather lose money from SBYS and Ian Ridley than lose face As for gratitude, if you were at the fans forum in July 2019 you would have heard LL admit that they both stand to make a decent wedge from any new ground and if the new ground doesn't happen they would sign the losses off against tax So hardly taking any risks on their 'investment'

Sorry Lee I disagree re the pricing they were wrong putting them up anyway and could of used Covid as Dave said as a reason to lower the price because of job loses and wage reductions etc and kept them down when everything returns to normal and used it as a way of saving face instead they are just trying to rake in as much as they can with the shirt sponsorship, streaming, funding and entrance fees, I have no doubt if they could of they would of still charged £18 on the gate !

The FA trophy run podcasts were a wonderful trip down memory lane! I’ve got such fond memories of that period. It was my first experience of the podcast too and won’t be the last. Great work from all involved.

Excellent podcasts as usual, thanks to all involved.
The Saints Rewind with Ben Martin was also a great listen !! Great shame the Club have refused to promote these through the 'official' channels.
