A brilliant result. Feared the worst when Saints went behind early on but it takes a lot of resilience and concentration to get through two 120-minute matches (plus all the injury time) in the space of six days.
To score all five penalties also says a lot about their mental fortitude as well as their physical fitness and skill.
So now, who do we want to get through the other semi-final? Nothing to be afraid of – even away from home – because both teams are beatable, even if it is sure to be difficult.
On a purely selfish level I hope it's Worthing because their ground is bigger and it's further away so there might be a better chance of getting a ticket!

We’ll done Saints. Everyone put in a shift and a half, but I must single out Berry who made half a dozen important saves plus of course the first Dartford penalty. I was worried throughout the game as we created little up front, but thanks to five nerveless penalty takers we’re on our way to Wembley …. Err, I mean Oxford.
For those who have never been there, Oxford City is one of the smaller grounds in the League and I’d be very surprised if we get anything like the 700 tickets we were given today. I feel a panicky scramble coming on!

My village club near Bedford were totally awoken when the twitter feed said the fifth penalty went in. 'Oh When the Saints' was being sung loudly! On a bloody high!!!

There's a corner of NW England going bonkers tonight!! What a fantastic result, esp after 120 minutes the other night against a team with a week's rest. I'm already boring my local Tranmere, Liverpool and Everton fans with stories of the excitement of National League football...

Nice to see a result like that ... pity I live so far away in Darlington, however, if they manage to get promoted I hope to see the Saints fairly local to me here. Cheers to the lads. From a happy Stan Johnson.

What a day. Think we all knew it would be tight especially after 120 mins on Tuesday. Credit to the players, stuck to their plan and committed. Gotta say I was pleased just to make the playoffs with little expectations but with the amazing support and gritty performances it feels like we could go the distance now. Bring on Oxford, whatever happens its been a joy to watch!

After the IA wilderness years, and after only 6 months in charge, David The Nobleman takes Saints to playoffs and one game from National League..tremendous achievement especially as under previous we never got a sniff..anyone still believe I A did a good job? If so, Hendon beckons...its great to have hope and belief again..tremendous stuff regardless of Sundays result at Oxford..COYS!!

If so, Hendon beckons...its great to have hope and belief again..tremendous stuff regardless of Sundays result at Oxford..COYS!! I'll be honest with you Davy, after seeing one or two of our home games where we've been on the back foot right from the first whistle for some reason, which have seen us concede goals and yield one or two poor results, I've often wondered if we could finally make the final cut at the end of the season, but our away form and results, which have been better, have got us to where we are and are is now seeing us through these play offs. Of course we have won a few home games too, crucially vs Farnborough for example. Nobby has done well, there is no Question of that, and the players seem to want to play for him, so it's a happy camp all round. I hope I'm right on Sunday, I've been saying to people that if we beat Dartford l wouldn't be afraid of anybody in the final, cos for me, Dartford, even thou their form in this 2nd half of the season since Xmas hasn't been as good as their 1st half of the season, have been the team to beat. We've done that now, so it's onwards and upwards to Oxford on Sunday, COYS !
