Hopefully untrue but source very reliable

Well you couldn't blame him, he is rather limited to what he can achieve with us.

With the brand of football that Wealdstone are known to play, it is no great surprise that they have approached our club in order to obtain David Noble's services. Many National League clubs have commended Wealdstone for their playing style, although many Stones' supporters bemoan their team's lack of an end product, particularly away from home. I'm sure that David Noble and Wealdstone will prove to be a good fit and I'm certain that most City fans will wish him every success with his new challenge at a higher level.

I wish him well, but is he that experienced yet, as a manager within his own right, to manage in the top non-league flight ? Well, we'd all have our own opinion on that, but l wouldn't have thought so. Overall thou, he has done well for us, I'm sure the resources that he'll have at Wealdstone will be better than what he's had with us. So, what happens next? Where will our next manager be appointed from? Within again, where you are effectively getting the cheapest option, or progress with a more experienced manager ?

Wish him all the best at Wealdstone. Full time role so can hardly blame him for taking it !!
Any guesses who could be candidates to replace him? I'll suggest Darren Sarll (ex Woking, Yeovil, Stevenage & of course played for us a few years back)

Have done very well there over the last few years. Anyone know what Harry Wheeler's current capacity is at the club? He always seems to be hanging around.

I think a worry is who will be take with him in the transfer window and who has he tapped up? I wouldn't worry too much. Don't forget we're part-time and would be a big step for our players to go full time with the youngsters probably being the exception.

www.stalbanscityfc.com/a-parting-message-for-saints-fans-david-noble/At David’s request, we’d like to share the following message as Nobby looks back on an 8-year stint at Clarence Park: “Firstly I just want to say I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the countless individuals who have played a role in shaping my journey. From the moment I stepped onto the pitch as a player, to my transition into a player-coach and ultimately taking on the role of manager, the support and guidance I have received has been immeasurable. “I am deeply thankful to the passionate fans, dedicated volunteers, and hardworking members of staff who have been unwavering in their support of the club. Their belief in me has been a constant source of motivation, and I am grateful for the friendships I have formed with individuals who share my love for the game. “I would also like to extend my appreciation to my former gaffer Ian Allinson as well as my coaches, teammates, players, assistant, Jon Meakes, GK coach, Peter Russell, and former Director of Football Dean Austin. The collective efforts have contributed to the unforgettable experiences I have had at the club. “Furthermore, I am indebted to the owners, Lawrence Levy and John McGowan for trusting me with the opportunity to begin my managerial career. Their belief in my abilities has been instrumental in my growth, both personally and professionally and I will always be thankful for their support. “As I depart from St Albans City Football Club I carry with me cherished memories and enjoying friendships. My time at the club has been nothing short of extraordinary and I am grateful for the role that each and every individual has played in making it so. “Up The Saints!”

I doubt if the chesham joint managers would come when they are top of the league, as for Darren sarl, what has he done recently? There will be plenty of applicants for the job, but many will want to much money.

That ‘s a shame. Apart from his attitude to starting with Jeffers or not, I thought he generally did a decent job.
In the unlikely event he’s reading this, good luck David. I hope it all goes well for you.

Andy Leese? He’s worked with Jon Meakes before and I think that he’s been spotted at the Park for games recently.

Yes I remember the 73-74 season, 26 matches without a win …. Happy days! Seriously though, the Club has made progress on and off the pitch in recent years and it’s vital this continues.

Andy leese has done nothing as a manager, at chesham and Enfield town. Wasn't he at Kettering recently? Nothing there either, no thanks.

I guess we’ll probably never know. I don’t believe the bonuses stuff, so I think it was probably tactical or they had a falling out. Either way it’s no coincidence that since Jeffers was restored to the starting line up we’ve gone on a good run.
However, as I said, apart from that I think he did a decent job and leaves us in a better position than when he took over.
