I was very nervous about this game, I needn’t have been. Needham were absolutely terrible, by some distance the worst team we have played this season. We played pretty well though and hopefully we will take some confidence from the performance and the result.

An excellent result. However, given our position the league got to be our priority. So the challenge is to take the bit of positive momentum we built in the last two games to Torquey and get something - a point would be excellent. If we lose next weekend it is 2 points from 9 games and any positivity from the last two games will be lost.

Well, as the old saying goes, 1 swallow doesn't make a summer, but yes, to empathise what's already been said, we need this to be a springboard for more football match victories, be it league or cup, it doesn't matter. We need to take forward any confidence gained from today, into the weeks ahead, we need to replicate today going forward.

People say the FA Cup isn't as important as the league. Not sure, a run to the first or second round of the cup is huge for us, coverage, income, support.

People say the FA Cup isn't as important as the league. Not sure, a run to the first or second round of the cup is huge for us, coverage, income, support. I think it's contextual. I rather have a cup run and finish 12 in the league than go out early and finish 7. So if your confident your mid table side I say focus on the cup. But if your rock bottom of the league I think the league got to come first. Would you really be happy if we when down but got to the second round of the cup?

We will go down as long as noble is manager. Any constructive comments on the game today. If we set up and play how we did today we will be fine. We made a step 2 side look like a step 4/5 side and this Needham side are meant to be defensively solid but we ran them down completely. Deadfield was a revelation in the middle today and that Orient boy was something special

I wasn’t at the match yesterday so I can’t comment on how good we were or how bad Needham Market were. But the important thing is not just that we won, but that we won convincingly. If we’d scraped through with a 90th minute own goal I don’t think the mood of doom and gloom would have been lifted at all. However, 3-0 can only be a good result considering our form so far this season.
Last week’s draw with Weston, while not being particularly impressive was a definite improvement on previous performances and now we’ve followed it up with a convincing away win. Hopefully this is the beginning of an up-turn in performances and results. Next Saturday will be tough but hopefully we can put in a decent performance, in which case who knows what might happen.

A much needed win, some money in the bank and hopefully a boost in confidence for the weeks ahead. Thought we played some excellent football especially in the first half & restricted a poor Needham Market side to scraps going forwards. The tweak of system with a back 4 seems to be working much better than the 3 at the back & we’re seeing far fewer individual mistakes leading to chances for the opposition since we switched. Second half we seemed a bit more sloppy & anyone stood near the dugouts would have heard Nobles frustration.
Three well taken goals & the perfect highlight of giving Shaun some service and he’ll always put the ball in the net. His second was classic Jeffers and you never felt one shred of doubt where the ball would end up as soon as he went clear of the defender.
Let’s hope this is the start of some much needed points in the league starting next week with a tough looking trip to Torquay. It was good to see the whole squad & backroom staff together with the fans at the end of the game.

But I do think we can cause issues Torquay are obviously a good side but they have lost twice and drawn once this season. They are not prime Man City. I remember the first game of the season you suggested there were positives from a competitive loss to Maidstone as they were a well resourced side who would challenge but they only won 1 in 7 since this point. Dulwich for all their resource have had a distinctly average start. I just don't accept that you should be happy to just be competitive against a side because they are full time. Full time offers no guarantees. We are already 6 points from safety and just don't think we a position to take positives from a competitive defeat to anyone. We are rapidly being cut adrift. We need to go to Torquay and get a point, obviously 3 would be a bonus. Any type of defeat the pressure should be on Noble, irrespective of the performance

Also I don’t think Dulwich have much resource they’re still a part time side with an above average budget

My point is that the position we in we badly need a tangible result next week. A draw away to Torquay for me would be our best result of the season and I would take a point all day
