I'm guessing we're all in agreement that the play off dream is probably now over so lets turn our attention to next season and who we keep and where we need to improve.
The form we've shown since Christmas shows that this side is probably capiable of challenging next season although we have drawn a load, I was surpised to speak to a fellow supporter yesterday who thought only 5 of this current team are worth keeping
Thoughts?

I think we've got a good spine to the team and that, in particular, the team is strong through the middle with the keeper, central defence, central midfield and forward partnerships.
I would suggest that the main way this team will need to be strengthened is in the wide positions and in the fullback positions. Also, perhaps another option up front, maybe someone more consistent who can be relied upon to bury goal scoring opportunities when he gets the chance.
In an ideal world, I'd also quite like to see more of a strong ball playing midfielder brought in. By that, I mean someone who can be relied upon to dictate the play, put his foot on the ball and pick quality passes. Perhaps James Comley could be that man but he didn't quite shine as I hoped he would yesterday.
Just my thoughts. Personally, I'm very hopeful for next season and I'm looking forward to seeing what David Howell can do with the squad now that he will have a full summer to prepare for next season. Hopefully, he can keep the majority of the squad and look to improve with two or three key players brought in. Then I think the team could be in great shape for next season.
