I thought I would just put a quick match thread up instead. Normal service will be resumed for the Chippenham Town game! I'll add any interesting team news or links that come up to this thread. Worth noting that the Herts Ad appears to be doing some updates on their Twitter account, so if you aren't travelling to this match, you may be able to keep in touch with the action through this link - twitter.com/#!/HertsAdSport Hopefully we'll also have some coverage on the forums with some brief updates of what's happening at the match. Today's line-up:
Jupp; Cutchey, Gray, Ngakam, Watts; Shields, Hyde, Ijaha, Henry; Newton, Martin.
Assume Newton is going up front with Martin. Would make more sense than a 4-5-1 formation anyway given the players involved.
On the bench: Bakare, Bernard, McGonigle, Diarra, Furlong.

I think we need to keep Howard Newton for next season

HT score 0-2.
Saints are in control of the game. Pitch is uneven and bobbly so difficult for a good passing game. Newton and Henry are both playing very well.

FT score 0-2.
Uninspiring second half but we at least got the three points!

In the grand scheme of things compared to where we were in the close season I think the club have so far done very well. Remember the previous chairman, board, manager and a sizeable chunk of the squad had left. With a new manager, a new challenge for him. Yes, there were teething troubles as you would get for any new manager. Remember when Alex Ferguson began at Manchester United.
After Christmas it began to fall into place. Although we are on a decent unbeaten run at the moment the only drawback was there were too many draws in that run.
After our close season troubles if someone had said we would finish inside the top eight I would have taken that.
I think we have the makings of a decent squad for next season now. All it needs is a couple of decent players and we can hopefully push for promotion next season.
