Toomey just had a shot deflected wide and then had a header which went just over. Saints on top at the moment.

Well done to the team and management. Good result after the past two weeks. A couple of other league results tonight helps us as well. So come on Saturday and another victory at home.

This was so much better than Lowestoft, with the central midfield much improved and David Ijaha having his best game in a while. A tremendous performance from Danny Gordon but the big difference against Saturday, especially in the first half was the pace up front with Toomey, Shields and also Henry, who caused havoc with their defence on the ground. He was outstanding. It slipped a little in the second half, when we resorted to the long ball at times but I am more than happy with the three points gained tonight and with the other results going our way, it is all the sweeter.
Barwell on Saturday, which won't be easy with Towers, Barlone et al but it is imperative we produce more of the same and keep this going.

3pts that's the main thing!
---------------------------------
played better without hayles(furlong/haworth) lot of times the ball play was better up front, finally worked out that crossing it on the floor was more beneficial as opposed to the endless aimless lumps to their defenders. (you cant miss Frater) arlesey were nothing like they were in the cup, was that because we upped our game and they were off their game. a bit of both.
as mentioned above those 3 were great to watch . should do it more Arlesey were backing off all the time.
forwards and onwards

Best performance for a long time and nicely in the Top 3 now, only downside was the lack of clear cut chances we carved out but we played it around well against one of the better teams in the division Another big test on Sat, we could do with a good run in the league to bring the crowds back

J. Onieva who came on as a sub is presumably, Juan Onieva who was with Staines a bit last season and Hornchurch briefly this season. 27 Forward.......have we signed him ?
