Jimmy Sangare and Magnus would be the envy of many teams.
Two of the best players to have turned out for the Saints.
If we get a new stadium, think we could mix it at Conference level again.
With the current stadium, even if we went up we would go down quicker than Monica Lewinski.
Just need the council to wake up and get behind the club.
Sadly I think the councillors main prerogative is to line their pockets with tax free cash.

Well I never expected a thread about Comley to end up in one talking about the council and new ground... Let's try and stay on topic, shall we?

England C manager, Paul Fairclough has named his starting line-up for this afternoon’s crucial International Challenge Trophy Group A clash with Turkey in Istanbul, knowing that nothing less than 3 points will do to keep the side’s hopes of making the last 4 alive. The side arrived in Istanbul showing two changes with Andy Yiadom picking up an injury on Saturday and Tom Parkes being sent home from the Heathrow Hotel meet up point on Saturday night having sustained concussion during Bristol Rovers match at Aldershot earlier in the day. Jordan Burrows replaced Yiadom with Woking’s Joe McNerney replacing Parkes. The side is Kitscha (Hayes & Yeading United), Halls (Macclesfield Town), Brown (Bristol Rovers), Pearson (FC Halifax Town), Roberts (FC Halifax Town), Dunkley (Kidderminster Harriers), Gallagher (Welling United), Payne (Woking), Moult (Wrexham), Norwood (Forest Green Rovers – Capt), Frear (Forest Green Rovers) Subs: Burrows (Lincoln City) Coughlin (Wrexham), Comley (St Albans City), McNerney (Woking) Roberts (Aldershot Town) James Comley became St Albans City's 6th England Amateur international this afternoon after coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute in the 2-0 defeat away to Turkey in the International Challenge Trophy. A report of the match can be found on the FA website here: www.thefa.com/news/england/development/2014/oct/turkey-2-0-england-c-reportOur previous most recent England international was Barrie King in 1963. Comley is our first since the end of the amateur era in 1973. Saints current squad contains three current international, as Lee Clarke and Sean Shields are both Northern Ireland U21 internationals. Many congratulations to James from everyone connected at the club.

This is all very well but how do we know that JC has actually got an England cap?! Oh, okay then, can't argue with that... The photo is copyright Pinnacle Photo Agency and I haven't asked them for permission to show it here but if I say that there are loads more photos from the Turkey game here: www.ppauk.com/event/England-C-v-Turkey-141014/including a great action shot of JC tackling, then I'm sure it will be fine. Gulp! If you go to the photos link a number of images will load; scroll further down to auto-load more. The picture of England's Number 14 is towards the end of the page.
