Bromley have only lost 4 league games this season but all 4 have been at Home.
They have a record of W5 D0 L4 F 14 A 14 at Home although they have won 4 straight in all competitions since losing to Dartford in the cup and Hemel in the league and have gone 7 games without defeat in all matches since that Hemel loss.
City have a near identical Away record having W5 D0 L4 F 12 A 11 however they have only won 1 of the last 4 away !
Best available odds for the game: Bromley (5/6) Draw (11/4) St Albans (10/3)

Highlight is probably the Saints fans who have brought a Christmas tree with them, and are dancing with it behind the goal.

15 mins to go and still no all. Anyone's game but we are still sloppy in defence. Can't remember a direct shot at goal from us. Frendo shot blocked. Not a great spectacle. One nil Bromley. More sloppy defending. 77 mins

Coms charges down the GK, and his strike crashes off of the bar, so unlucky!

Both sides had 1 effort on target. It was an awful pitch.

I was following the game on Twitter, which is a modern-day equivalent to following the scores on Ceefax, and just as agonising. As the game went into the closing stages I had started to think we might nick it, then came news of their goal.
Still, a 1-0 defeat at Bromley is no disgrace, particularly as we could have equalised and pinched a point.
Meanwhile, our next opponents had a 1-1 draw at home to Havant and the Wealdstone Raiders won at Bath. That's not particularly relevant but it just amuses me that people are now referring to them as the Wealdstone Raiders.

Has to be the worst playing surface ive seen at this level. Two very average teams on display . We created little spent too long on ball infront of goal and at times in defence - lack of pace all round as well I feel. major talking point. Their animal captain commits a serious foul worthy of a red card but no a yellow is produced. And their MOTM was? Yes . Animal. However, we cant complain. If we cant get shots on target we aint gonna score. Several close efforts but only one pass back of a shot for their goalie to contend with. By the way, the xmas tree was brilliant and the non-stop singing by a small hard core of fans was outstanding. And w2ho sells xmas trees at a football ground entrance on match days? Hilarious having two groundstaff guarding the tree during match!

. This was a team second in the League and we made them look average. Heard a few of Bromley supporters saying how lucky they felt to get 3 points. Overall I thought the ref was very good looked liked we got away with a couple of fouls in our area other refs would have pointed to the spot. Thought the team fought hard to earn a draw which would have been a good result. Goals will come if we keep up the level of this performance in terms of effort put in by the players. Seems like other team know we only have Frendo up front and mark him out of the games always seems to have two defenders on him. Think when we have steve Wales playing takes a little pressure of Frendo. Just wish the supporters would sing like that at home every game. Yes i know against Hemel they will make a noise.

I wish we had a central defender as consistently good as Rob Swaine.
Our squad is hard to fathom right now. Why let Ward and also Martin leave in quick succession ? We lack pace everywhere, but mostly up front, and when Frendo stops scoring then there is no alternative. Serious reinforcements needed.
At least Joe Welch has the ability to play at this and higher levels. Comley too, but who else, not including loanees ?

Went out for my work christmas party last night after the game which was rather messy and it has taken me until now to muster the strength to write this post. I have still yet to see the saints win since September and that's not due to a lack of attendance, i've just been unfortunate with my dire selection of games this season. I will be attending Hemel, apologies in advance :/ Despite the loss yesterday this was the first time we lost this season and I walked away thinking how different it could have been. We certainly didn't lose because of a lack of effort and passion. Captain Coms led by example, he was flat out the entire 90 minutes, you couldn't have asked much more from your Captain, he left it all out on the pitch and was by far the best player. I was particularly impressed with our Centre back pairing who have not played a single minute together and especially Lockey who hasn't played in months and it seemed like he had never been away. Shame for Lancaster would have been interesting what we could have done if he remained on the pitch as he opens up space for Frendo. In one move he showed what he could offer us as he ran off the last line of defence and preferred running towards goal instead of his back to goal. Unfortunately in that same move the covering defender Rob Swaine removed him from the game. I was standing right next to it, it was a clumsy challenge and Lancaster is to quick for him, but it was a red card all day long. He has missed the ball and not only kicked Lancaster he has connected with him right at the top of his rib cage. It was a high foot and dangerous challenge that is not wanted on any football pitch. Even though I can understand how the referee might of missed it, I actually think he has bottled it. What annoys me is the Linesman is standing right there and has a clear view, but doesn't have the balls to speak up. The inconsistency from the top referees at premiership level to this level is shocking (Yes I know we are in the Conference south). That was far worse than Rooneys recent red card and on a similar level to Nani in the champions league against Real, at least Nani's was unintentional as he was watching the flight of the ball from over his head. In the end all their player gets is a yellow card and we are the ones who are punished as we lose one of our strikers. No justice there at all. Love to have Swaine as our CB though, despite that challenge I thought he was superb for the rest of the 90 minutes he was commanding, authoritive and a real leader in their backline. Wonder what his wages are? Just seen Nathan Green defending for the goal, he sells himself by jumping and if he continue to show him the line there is less of a target to hit, instead he gives the striker exactly what he wants and the striker turns in with a gaping goal and says thank you.

Very much agree with asaintreborn (although this was my first sight of the Saints losing on their travels...) in that I usually end up on a bit of a downer after a loss but this time went away impressed by the fight we put up - especially given the dire state of the pitch (which was also going to mean that defences were going to have to opt for the 'hoof' more often than the pass and play out from the back....). Lancaster also impressed me and was starting to look a threat until taken out by their No. 5 who then goes on to get Man of the Match...!!

A pretty scrappy game overall, which Bromley probably just about deserved to nick, just about. Apart from James Comley, who I thought was quite brilliant and head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch, I felt our midfield were muscled out of it to a degree and at times, gave the ball away far too cheaply. You just don't have the time on the ball in this league, that was available in the Southern League and some of our players need to realise this and quickly. In saying all of that, though, I thought we put in a good battling performance over the 90 minutes and with a minimum about of luck, may easily have come away with a point. As for the foul by Swaine on Lancaster, I think everything has already been said that needed to be said about it. The pitch was probably the worst we have played or at least tried to play on since Burnham away, last season. Bromley had better pray they don't get a lot of rain over the next couple of months, because if they do, they are going to see a lot of games getting called off. It always amazes me how some teams can spend small fortunes on their playing budget and virtually zilch on their pitch. It most definitely cost Poole a place in the play offs, last season.
Onwards and upwards to Boxing Day. COYS!

Never normally comment on opposing fans' forums, but I must doff the cap to the Saints fans who made the trip to South London yesterday. A very nice crowd - hope you do well.
The man with the Christmas tree is now an official Bromley legend. (And LEG END.)

If the rumours of the amounts that they are to believed to paying their players are correct, it is ridiculous that they are playing on a cabbage patch, their kit was falling apart with some shirts missing numbers from the kick off and their matchday programme was a complete embarassment.
