Well, that escalated quickly.
A campaign launched out of the blue and a warning from one of the owners that he's off if he doesn't get what he wants.

Not sure it's that out of the blue, given that by the sounds of it they've been putting in >£100k per year for the last 4 years. And other chairmen have talked about moving to a new ground but these owners seem to have put more practical effort into it than anyone else with no reward so far. I'd cut my losses pretty soon as well if it was me.

Out of the blue in the sense that everything has been quiet for a while and suddenly the local paper is launching a campaign that you'd expect when a club is on the brink of extinction. I've expanded on my point in the 'Save our Saints' thread.

I've expanded on my point in the 'Save our Saints' thread. I would certainly urge you to come along to the Fans Forum and raise the points you make in the other thread, as they're good ones! Or maybe at least get someone you know who is going to do so.

I am going to try to make it, but at the moment I have something else on that day and won't be back in the St Albans area in time, sadly.

Hopefully the club invites some local councillor's, or maybe even reaches out to Anne Main about the fans forum to hear our views on the topic. May as well try? Especially with the councillor's.

We do have the right - and we should seriously consider exercising it - to request a debate of the matter at the next full council meeting

Do any current Councillors come and watch games nowadays? I know that in the past there used to be a few.

Today, I've been tweeting some non-league advocates as well as texting various friends/colleagues for their support - every little counts... we are now up to 519.
Think we should use Saturday's Wealdstone match to make a bigger push so we can get over the 1000 mark - wonder whether we should also get a paper petition up and running as well or turn up with our iPads to get the e-petition numbers up... (and collect from the Saturday market goers as well)
Also, have been reading some of the comments and fantastic to see we the support we are getting from Germany and Norway as well as from all over the UK

Will someone be writing a detailed report on the fan's forum for those of us that can't make it? There is potential for the club to maybe do so I'm guessing... I'll enquire.

If I can make it, I can provide a report for those who cannot...
However, the Herts Ad will be there I believe.
