A very welcome win and 3 points. Well done team and management. A point at Gosport would be a good result next Saturday.

A comfortable win in all honesty, and the perfect response to the weekend. Steve Wales' goal was a stunning volley from 25 yards, before Thomas turned home Chappell's cross for the second. Our third and final came when Chappell's long throw came off their number 4 and sneaked in at the near post, although it looked like Jack Green had gotten it until we reviewed Dave T's video after the game.
Well done all, onto Gosport.

disappointing crowd considering holiday weekend... Really?? Considering how we've played recently and the fact that we've nothing to play for - it was better than I predicted - score and crowd!

I would have gone but I had other plans at lunchtime and knew I wouldn't get there in time. As it turned out, I could have made it for about 3.08 but there was no way I was going to choke up 15 notes to see 82 minutes' football!
Cracking result, though, and a real boost after what sounded like such a poor performance against Bishops Stortford.
I must admit, after listening to Jimmy Gray's interview following that match, I did wonder whether he and Graham Golds would be around for much longer but today's result sounds like they have had a good response.
The management weren't frightened to make a couple of big changes, particularly dropping John Frendo. The thing is, Frendo has not really performed at this level. I have often praised him for the way he has held up the ball and led the line but it's become apparent, particularly since Christmas, that this is not quite enough for this division. I wonder whether, as one of, if not the, highest earners, he will be here next season?
I guess every player is up for review and that this period, and the next three games will determine who stays and who goes.

disappointing crowd considering holiday weekend... It was as expected I suspect following Saturday's defeat. Could have maybe broken 500 if we hadn't lost. Watford's very important early kick-off wouldn't have helped!

I wonder if I will ever understand this game. On Saturday, we put in a shambolic performance against a very mediocre side and today we put 3 without reply past a side, 10th in the table, who previously had not conceded in 5 games. Another superlative performance by Comley at the back, a thunderous strike from Wales for the 1st to set us on our way with Jack Green and Danny Green working non stop in the middle the whole game. Well done one and all! Onwards and upwards to Gosport and let's have more of the same, please. I note that Jack Green has been credited on the Vanarama Conference South site with our 3rd goal. COYS!

Yes, Green was credited with the goal, but it was decided it was an OG after the Club had submitted details to the League.

I was shouting "No!" as Wales shaped to shoot from so far out and "Yes!" as the ball hit the net. Great strike.
I thought Jack Green was excellent throughout; having said that, the whole team played well and it was a deserved win on a lovely afternoon.

Yeah but 4 of them games were at home and as I pointed out on another thread their away record is as bad as ours, they've actually picked up 1 less point than us conceded the same amount of goals and scored 2 less than us.
