Poole Town (0) 0 St. Neots (0) 1 Truro (0) 1 Hungerford Town (0) 0 A great evening and a great result for St. Neots and the ex Saints players Ryan Frater, Tom Ward, Drew Roberts, Lee Clarke and the 'old cat' Paul Bastock at Tatnam tonight. To cap it all, Baz saved a penalty early in the 1st half and Clarkey netted the winner in the 2nd. Top lads! Now get down to Truro on Bank Holiday Monday, lads, and let's have some more of the same.

Lets hope (if) St Neots get promoted they don't nick any more of our players eh?

Another bonus, if they do go up, is that they will be ahead of the likes of us and Hemel Hempstead in the pecking order, should any clubs be shunted from the Vanarama South into the Vanarama North. Plus the fact that we would not have to face another 600 mile round trip down to the deepest depths of Cornwall again, for one season at least.

I really liked the trip to Truro but St. Neots is closer and also has a couple of cracking pubs. I don't think we have much to worry about getting shifted to the Conference North for now as 3 relatively Northern clubs got relegated from the Conference. Guess we may get one club shifted from North to South.

No chance of is going North now 3 North teams from the Conf National going down plus Corby going up I agree, certainly for the 2015/16 season now but we also need to be looking further down the road than that.

I did, last season. Still a trek and I don't envy St. Neots having to do it this coming Bank Holiday. Some decent beers down there, mind.

Be great to get Hemel out of our league.
Can't see them being shunted to the Conference North sadly.
Hopefully the money dries up and they will get relegated.

Why on earth would anyone want Hemel relegated and therefore lose a very good double header of a local derby?
I'd much rather be playing Hemel twice over the holiday Period than Wood or anyone else. Hemel at home was our biggest attendance of the season, so you'd lose all the revenue of that... Would we get over 1,000 on Boxing Day against another local-ish team?
Sure, we may not see eye to eye with our neighbours from over 'there', but we lose more with them relegated.

id rather play b wood, proper rivalry, not one thats been around for two seasons. also we could have wealdstone over the holiday period so would get loads more fans. would be great if hemel went north.
wonder if celtic enjoyed rangers being relegated, or man city enjoyed man utd being relegated etc etc

I must admit, I'd prefer Hemel to stay in this division than go north or get relegated, simply because it's another local game.
I remember remarking early in the season that one of the games I was looking forward to was Boreham Wood away and someone said: "Are you sure?"
Having been there, I now know what you mean. It's a very strange, soulless place. The big stand is all very well but it feels out of place there. I much preferred the visits to Wealdstone (league, not trophy!) and Hemel for atmosphere.

Boreham Wood did let us in for student rate so it wasn't all bad.

Let's be honest fellas, if we're basing things on current financial situation or league finishes it's not us that needs to be worried about relegation or running out of money...
Have a wonderful summer and let's all look forward to some good derbies next season.

I don't know how anyone can consider Borehamwood a traditional local derby either, they've not been round too long themselves at the same level but have the added disadvantage of having no fans, a soulless ground and a sprinkling of nasty thugs
I've much enjoyed the recent games vs Hemel and hope they stick around As for money drying up, most teams at this level aren't self sufficient so are always in danger of that happening
It's a shame we don't have the more traditional games vs the likes of Aylesbury and Enfield though

You get the 2 from the Ryman League and in a ideal world 1 from the Southern League with one going North Also in an ideal world you get 2 southern based conference national teams
However as Bishops Stortford found out this doesn't always happen
We have one down in Dartford so we will def have one team switching from the North - probably Oxford city
The other team will depend on who wins the southern play off - Truro will def come here wheseas St Neots could end up North and we have another transfer over - maybe Gloucester
Hope this clears it all up

They were the 2nd legs, Stan. Boreham Wood won 2-0 at Havant and Basingstoke drew 1-1 at Whitehawk last Wednesday. Boreham Wood v Whitehawk final. Not sure how many will be at that game.

Sorry Obviously I missed it as it wasn`t about in the papers up here in Darlington..By the way Darlington won in the final playoff and are in the Evo Stick Premier league next year..That is one step below the Conference north> That`s 2 promotions in three years since being thrown out of the Conference.

Best of luck to Bazza and the ex-Saints at St Neots for today's play-off final. Not this time for Bazza - Truro won 1-0 with a 68th minute penalty. Attendance of 1450.
