League table after today's result... www.stalbanscityfc.com/table/national-league-south-widget/Basingstoke suffered a 5-1 home defeat by Eastbourne Borough - two massive games now coming up against them on Monday and Hayes and Yeading on Saturday. Two wins and we can put today behind us - but drop points unnecessarily and we'll be in a fight to get out of the pack at the bottom

Right it is crisis time! Please Jimmy put Lewis right mid tomorrow and get Jack in the side. Coms has got to play centre back with the injuries we have but that may be his best position anyway and let him bring the ball out ala Rio. If Simon plays you have to play to his strengths which it sounds as if we didn't yesterday. Lets fking go for it tom night against a side who are struggling. Best from of defence is attack has to be the way to go. COYS

Best from of defence is attack has to be the way to go. COYS All very well stalbansandy but with the injury and availability situation at the moment, we aren't exactly blessed with too many choices. As I see it, we will be perming 11 from a maximum of 14 tomorrow night, 13 if Martin is not available and only 12 if JK is not fit, which, judging by Saturday, is a distinct possibility. We certainly need to get out of the blocks early, as we did against both Hemel and Ebbsfleet, that is a must. We need the sort of movement we saw in the Hemel game, with players moving off the ball and demanding it. We saw precious little of that on Saturday playing a 4-3-3 and getting overrun in midfield and being forced to play deep for long periods. If you are going to play 3 in midfield (which I don't like anyway) you had better make very sure you have the strength and industry in there to make it work. My personal view is that we should keep it simple, play a 4-4-2, stick to it and stop keep tinkering with the formation. I just feel that continual change can confuse players, when it would a lot easier for them to play within a routine system that works. So routine that it becomes second nature and they don't even have to think about it. Anyway, on to Basingstoke and let's go again and get the job done. COYS!

Also Lewis has said that his preferred position is on the left, and Jimmy has put him there a couple of times now, so I'm not sure if he'd add anything on the right if he doesn't even want to play there.
