The referee for today's game is Chris O'Donnell. Let's hope he has a better game than the last time we had him.

Scoreline suggest we just about made it. Anyone who went to the game like to tell us more?

I wouldn't say we only just made it, Barker, but we got the job done and never really looked in danger of letting the lead slip.
The pitch was not the best – there was a heck of a slope on it from side to side – and Petersfield were well up for the game.
We looked solid at the back (most of the time) and reasonably threatening going forward, but it was a scrap, as you'd expect in a cup tie like that. Petersfield had one or two moments and it might have been a very sticky second half for us had Ben Martin not scored with a header a couple of minutes before the break.
Credit must go to Petersfield, because they stuck to their task and made it just as difficult in the second half. Had Saints got a second, I suspect the home side's spirit might have evaporated and the score would have been a lot healthier.
There were some signs that the front players and midfield might be getting to know one another. WIth Krans on one side and Montgomery on the other there was some balance, at last. Crawford and Theo worked reasonably well together and Luke Allen looked good in midfield. Darren Locke also did well when he came on to replace Ian Gayle, who looked to get a heavy knock towards the end of the first half.
Having been thrashed the previous week, this could easily have been a banana skin. There was a bit of frustration around the bench area at times but games like this are all about the commitment shown and the result rather than the skill on show. Having said that, there were a few moments of nice interplay up front – perhaps some decision-making could have been better at times, but it was an awful lot better than the last time I saw them.
Hopefully it's something to build on and, if we can keep a relatively settled team over the next few weeks, I believe this team is good enough to pull away from the relegation zone and reach the FA Cup first round, if we get a reasonably kind draw.

Can't disagree with any of that - Montgomery looks to be just what we need and played well and played in an excellent cross for Martin to score. Petersfield set out to stop us playing but I felt we never looked in any great danger. The biggest difficulty today was the pitch - which any team would struggle to play a passing game upon

The referee for today's game is Chris O'Donnell. Let's hope he has a better game than the last time we had him. Credit where credit is due, Chris O' Donnell had a very good game yesterday in some very trying conditions. Yes, 4 yellows but all looked to be warranted.

I see Geoff Michell, who I assume is the infamous Big Jeff, last seen at Alloa playing on live TV v Rangers earlier on this season, was sent off for Dunstable Town and waved at the away fans before promptly being released

At least he gave them a wave - rather than just deciding to go AWOL like he did for us!
