Now it's confirmed that Harry will be in charge for the immediate future, the next 3-4 weeks are surely going to define whether we have a chance to battle our way into the mid-table or be one of the favourites for relegation.
We start with a very hard game against Maidenhead Utd on Tuesday night but have a real chance to pick up some important points over the next 4 games as we face Basingstoke Town, Stortford, Chelmsford and Stortford again. Interestingly, Basingstoke are seeing us as an easy game and their fans seem to be expecting a win.
Key for me is how Harry - being just twenty-something - is able to keep the motivation and cohesion of the team going when we don't get a result. So far, it's two wins out if two but it's crucial he is able to maintain control if heads start to drop.
Personally, I'd love to see us nick a point on Tuesday against a strong Maidenhead team with an experienced manager like Alan Devonshire - and 3pts would be a fantastic result. But we have to - whatever the result - be looking for 9pts from the next four games against what are all winnable matches against teams that are likely to end the season in the bottom half of the table. So all I want for Christmas is 9pts from a possible 15pts - too much to ask? (I know it's not dissimilar from a well known target of 20pts out of a possible 3pts but the opposition / needs are a bit different for this run of games...).
Several other teams are expecting to be heading in our direction. Hemel fans seem to reckon they will be falling down the table soon - and new signing Steve Watts has just left to become assistant manager at Leatherhead. Let's get some points over the holiday season and this could be a more positive season.
