Who is this someone, then? An individual associated with the club, though I have put a disclaimer on the info, as I am myself not 100% of its accuracy as of yet. Felt like sharing it still, however. An individual associated with club.

Sorry, not for me. Some dreadful places. It would probably put me off going to away games totally. Purely selfish reasons as I have mates who follow Enfield Town, Wingate & Finchley, Burgess Hill Town, Dulwich Hamlet etc.... Fair point, Appy. I was alluding more to East Thurrock, Billericay, Grays, Canvey, Brentwood etc on a cold February night. In fact, anywhere in Essex. Have done it too many times in the past and I really do not fancy a repeat of it. Not pleasant, not pleasant at all.

An individual associated with club. Well, they are also involved, I just chose to use the word associated. Like I initially posted anyway, there's no absolute certainties on this, and wont be for a long time (If we get relegated, of course... ).

I think I'd take the Essex trips over an away day there. Tonight's FA Trophy tie between Bognor and Sutton's first team was interesting with Bognor winning 2-1 after extra time. In the National League South, Gosport did us a favour by beating Havant 3-1 and Hayes & Yeading drew 4-4 at home to Eastbourne but Weston hammered Oxford City 5-2...

I just don't understand Wheeler's attitude to Monday game. We have not had a particularly intense last few weeks (we only really been playing once a week). Ok we got a midweek game next week but after that we have only got one more before the end of the season. The players cannot conceivably be suffering from fatigue. I just don't resting players makes more likely you win a match 5 days later. Just treat it like a league game and play what you believe to be our strongest side. The players could do with time together on the park and we desperately need a win to boost confidence. Ok Hitchin may well have won anyway but we should have fully committed ourselves to trying to get the result

That we are unable to beat a team we normally do well against especially now they are a league below( a league I/We were happy to call a pub league when we were in it-discuss)is a sad reflection on our status. We drew away at Gosport 1st game of season. How our fortunes have truly waned since then whilst they have moved on. We changed management too late and too many players not lived up to expectations and displayed lack of commitment. We carried Comley for too long as an example. And no doubt many will say he was a quality player but to be honest he hasn't really ever shown that for us. As for what league we drop down to its immaterial as we will face a struggle to get out of whichever one it is , assuming we do get relegated!! Where now the super new stadium? St Albans is a part-time team. However, when players turn out for us I expect 100% professional commitment to the cause and it has been sadly lacking from too many of the gazillion players we have used this year. I have often wondered what goes on at training when we see so many basic errors and poor free kicks corners shots etc on a regular basis. Keep it simple surely. I have fortunately been unable to see the last few games but am now eagerly anticipating the next few hoping for a miracle as we enter the Christian Lent run up to Easter. So, anyone stepping on to the field for The Saints , please, walk off the field at games end leaving nothing out there. 100%. Show you care. Display a bit of proper passion for the game we love. At least go down fighting holding your heads up. COYS

basically we are poor, relegation is a certainty so the sooner we appoint a proper manager the better, continuing with the present situation is pointless! it will achieve nothing!

One positive from Dartford was that despite the spectacle (or rather lack of) players like Lockey, MacDonald, Corcoran, Bender, Welch, Bangura (until his injury) - even Chappell when he came on - couldn't be faulted for their work rate. We need all 11 to do the same and we can then at least make a good fight of it and keep the interest going to the end of the season (I'll happily watch a team battling against the odds as opposed to a side that gives it up without a whimper)

Maybe if the supporters got behind Team from the kick off and made some noise from the start it might help. Always amazed me at away games we seem to sing from the start at home we stand there talking about the shopping or some other mundane subject. The last home game I don't think I heard one song. The players need lifting from the start playing in a stadium with no atmosphere must be a downer. Not sure but think at some grounds the supporters don't have to wait for the Team to do something decent before they decide to sing.

I do think you have a point - in a relegation battle the teams that have a fighting chance often become difficult to beat at home because the crowd get behind the team win or lose. All teams have their confidence players and home crowd should be able to help them up their game even when results are otherwise going the wrong way.

It may have something to do with the amount of pints consumed before the game at away matches.

its very difficult to get behind a team that doesn't win games and constantly produces unispiring performances.
