I am not surprised, Hitchin are a decent side, and in Ann, McNamara and the young right back Smith they have three players better than anyone currently playing for us.
Shane Hill I thought we had decided years ago was not the answer, where did he pop up from ?
Not sure what we should do next, start praying ?

I'd certainly like to see McNamara in our side... MacDevitt I felt was the best of our debut guys. Plenty of pace and possibly a replacement for Meade who has gone to a Swedish club

Apologies for the non-sequiter. Everyone seems to assume we will getting relegated to the Southern League. Is that a certainty or could we be put in Ryman? Not much to add on the game. I accept that we going down (I know this was a cup game but part of a general malise) but the manner in which we doing is depressing. Who have thought that by changing the squad so frequently that permanently have a bunch of strangers playing together would cause problems? Recently, posters have commented on break down in the relationship between fans and players - players not acknowledging away supporters etc. But how do we expect any relationship to develop when average tenure is so short. I not convinced the current squad is any better than one we started the season with- a lot just seems destabilisation for stake of it. Maybe if we given these players the opportunity to get to know each other properly and develop some sort of esprit de corps we might be at least fighting relegation rather than embracing it. I not saying no changes just moderation. Constantly changing the squad and refusing any changes under any circumstances are equally ridiculous. The problem been just the same under grey/wheeler which suggest its more structural than individual failings

Someone told me on Saturday that we're being lined up to be placed into the Ryman if relegated (Of course, there are variables), though that information may not be 100%.

Sorry, not for me. Some dreadful places. It would probably put me off going to away games totally.

Noooo not the Ryman league. Awful places dotted around the M25. It's even more depressing if we end up in that league!! At least the Southern League has some interesting places to visit, with the exception of Dunstable.

An individual associated with the club, though I have put a disclaimer on the info, as I am myself not 100% of its accuracy as of yet. Felt like sharing it still, however.

Sorry, not for me. Some dreadful places. It would probably put me off going to away games totally. Purely selfish reasons as I have mates who follow Enfield Town, Wingate & Finchley, Burgess Hill Town, Dulwich Hamlet etc....

From that article: Harry Wheeler: "“ The club asked me if the first team were going and I said they were but some of them were on the bench. Obviously if the fans who came in thought it was a waste I apologise but I don’t write the Twitter. If they’d rang me up I would have told them who we were going to play." So has anyone got Harry Wheeler's telephone number? I need to ring him at mid-day this Saturday to ask what the team is before I decide whether to travel or not.
