a very sad day for me, not because we lost a football match, not because we are probably going to be relegated, but this day was spoiled for me because of the St Albans fans who hurled foul mouth abuse at the players at the end of the match. On this forum several people have been critical of the players for failing to applaud the fans at the end of matches, when they did today, they (the players) received a stream of invective from two or three supporters. Sam Corcoran seemed to be baring the brunt of this abuse which to me was ridiculous as he tried harder than any other player in the team. All the St Albans supporters were disappointed with the performance and everyone is entitled to an opinion, but in my personnel view this was totally out of order.

Yes, we were all disappointed with how things turned out today but the plain fact is that the behaviour of the particular so-called 'supporters' involved was utterly disgraceful and such behaviour is totally unacceptable.

hurling abuse at the players is rather futile, perhaps its better to accept the teams not good enough to stay in this division and move on. also what is our new manager supposed to make of that sort of behaviour? he must be wondering what he has let himself in for! both sides were awful you can't say much more than that, its best forgotten!

It's a shame, we are probably relegated but still need to remain as one , we do still have 7 games at home

It's a shame, we are probably relegated but still need to remain as one , we do still have 7 games at home Yeah. We have a manager who knows exactly the difficulties we are facing but is already starting to put things in place to turn things around - whether that is this season or next. We need to rally round him and see this through to the end of this season - together and without the infighting

Because a team which is far from the least talented and least paid, were told quite rightly by the fans that have travelled up and down the country every week to support and enable them to earn good money at Div6/7, (what other team/league/sport in the world could you earn hundreds at div 6?) that they've been poo poo all season? Theyve been supported all season. Sometimes it's time for some home truths.

We need to rally round him and see this through to the end of this season - together and without the infighting We can come together as one. But on the game of season, 100% must win, we play like that and go down without a whimper? You're going to get frustration. Verbal frustration. It doesn't mean they won't be there supporting the team next week. Although the fans will expect the players to still have fight in them until the end of the season, otherwise they'll be booed off the pitch last day of the season from me. At least when we've gone down before we've just not really had good players. Some of the players drafted in in last ditch attempts to help the team are on weekly wages that they could comfortably live on without even working at all. Some of which are being part funded by fans, with the boost the budget scheme. Our best player Comley has had to go on loan because his attitude stinks so much!

So what exactly did you say to get that reaction, because I'm sure it didn't come about out of thin air. I didn't go to game Boomer. As far as I'm aware he called into question that it was our last chance at survival and we played like that? I'm sure people did use expletives. Do people really expect that no one would ever use a profanity? People like them are the type of people who go every single week. From what I'm told nothing personal was said. If that was the case then of course that is out of order.
