BTW I think someone like Joe Strummer would have been appalled at people defending personal abuse etc being defended in the name of free speech I agree, but he was solidly against injustice and authority dictating to the common man. To suggest anyone used Joe Strummer's name to defend personal abuse is disingenuous. You know what we are complaining about so stop trying to hide behind the censorship flag. The old stats site was taken offline without any notification or consultation and when some of us politely question why we're told that we are apparently obsessed with the club website at the moment rather than the next home game.

Totally agree, the old stats site was taken offline without notification or consultation but that was nothing to do with those helping to run the club website nor - as far as I am aware - did the club know

This points to another problem really, most people know who ran the old site, and very well ran it was, as is the new site. Why did the club and maybe they did as I don't know keep this person informed of the changes to the way the club would be presenting the new web site and get him on board to keep the stats on there. Why are there so many different groups doing certain things. Should the club maybe hold a meeting between these people and bring them together to work for the benefit on the club. In no way am I saying that each different group are not doing good things as I appreciate they are all vouleteers and working for the club.It all seems pointless to waste time on here going over old ground. Let's move forward as as a team to support the club and team.

Absolutely right fatboy - as ever that old ground is a lot more complex than it might appear and the majority of us just want to move forward

Regarding the Stats site - the hosting company took the domain down despite emails from myself. I have moved the site to saintsstatistics.co.uk. It is currently under a redevelopment as I have has to use the Basingstoke Town template as mine was lost when the old site was shut down. At least all is not lost. The server is slow but I am looking to pay for quicker hosting.

Top work ex-saintswebbo.
FWIW - I have always thought that what you do has been under appreciated.

Meetings could be had before action is taken, rather than after, otherwise they are a waste of time..? albanian - quite simply, I'm not a fan of using a generic template with blanks filled in, pitchero style. It's messy and overblown and half the stuff is irrelevant. I started to write a list of things out but decided to delete it as I doubt it would go down particularly well, there's no such thing as constructive criticism after all.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but does the website look funny to anyone else? Just text no pictures or colours or anything? Black text, blue hyperlinks, and that's about it?

www.stalbanscityfc.com - text and hyperlinks, no images or anything, the word null in big blue letters underneath the 'our sponsors' title for example

Still the same, I'm in Firefox so could that be it? Try deleting your browsers cache, close/open Firefox and try again.

Have we stopped playing Monday night home games? Any chance we can put the day of the fixture on the fixtures list, rather than just the date? Ta
