It's not that bizarre when you look back over the past couple of seasons though, is it? The club isn't exactly great at publication of news, keeping fans up-to-date etc etc
We don't like to talk about Harry being given the job permanently, by the way - we prefer to make it sound like we went out and got Allinson when we realised (another) change was needed, rather than him knocking on our door. Good thing he knocked when he did - if he'd done so one game later we'd probably be in the Southern next season.

The shambolic thing was that Allinson was pointed out to our recruiting officer to be a very good candidate early on and was interviewed back in the day along with Brady. Brady was preferred, but then understandably turned down the job at the 11th hour due to demands that were never outlined to him in the beginning. Its a good job for all at the club and that like us all Allinson recognised the dire situation we were in and made that call.

HW seemed good at putting out the cones and picking up balls. The fact he was a manager for a short time shows the mess the club was in.
Good luck to him the future.
Be good to see Allison financially backed.

There is more to HW than just picking up cones and collecting balls hence he has a Uefa A licence and is a full time coach at Dagenham. He also bought Charlie Macdonald to the club who has made a massive difference to us in the second half of this season.
Deserves far more credit than he currently gets. Will be a loss if he does go.

I think most supporters know that and from what I heard the players liked him doing the training sessions , Sure he will be back as the Manager at some stage,

Has his departure even been confirmed yet?? No news anywhere apart from on here.

I would imagine it has not been confirmed by the club yet as they are not sure how to word the situation, or that in time it would just get brushed under the carpet. We all knew without listening to H.W last interview with Dave Tavener a short while ago (that was later pulled by Allinson) that it was clear H.W was L.L man. I guess it's an uncomfortable situation for them both, or maybe they are holding out for the unlikely event that Allinson has a change of heart.

The Brady and Wheeler situations leave me with a nagging feeling in the back of my head - I hope Allinson is allowed to get on with what needs to be done and isn't restricted or guided or anything like that. For the love of God, don't p*ss him off! The club have never been quick to publish bad news, have they? Nor have they worried about how well worded situations are

Its a delicate situation for L.L as he had wanted H.W to succeed in the management job, i stand by what I posted 5 months ago that he put his own wants and desires over what was best for the football club. I know at the time he said the players wanted Harry to be manager, but results and performances didn't express that feeling.
Allinson keeping us up and releasing Harry so quickly signifies a power shift to me, Allinson holds all the cards now he can pretty much do what he likes within reason and both parties will know that.

Although I'm willing to trust Allinson's judgement on this, it's a shame it hasn't worked out.
What I don't understand, is why the club hasn't made an announcement. Surely Harry deserves better than to have this speculated about on the forum.

I think the Club are choosing to use Social Media in a positive, out reaching attempt to communicate with the wider fan base. You have to remember that not all fans are interested in the intricacies and gossip of the rumour mill which seems to be the emphasis on this board. The reason there's no announcements by the club is because maybe there is nothing to report. The players and coaches are all heading off to sunnier climes and a well deserved break so if nothing is going to be confirmed until they're back then what's the point of releasing fruitless articles for you to dissect, get animated about and cause a fuss. This isn't Sky Sports News- nor should it be. Fans will always speculate and perhaps the gossip and the "will they won't they" is part of the fun of support- but we do need to be mindful that the Club have worked hard to retain their league status, and they're not going to do anything to risk that going forward. I look forward to seeing how far the pride in our Club can travel this summer- I think the players and management will also appreciate City fans letting them know that they won't forget them for the next few weeks too and will be back tanned and singing louder than ever for the pre season games.

The club has been silent on a number of things, 2pw, even when there have been things to report. It's also ironic that you mention social media, considering comments from one of the club's social media team started this thread in the first place!
I don't think the players and management will care that much where people have gone on their holidays, personally. If they are asked publicly I'm sure they'll say how great it is, as is the way in sport. But privately? Nah. They're too busy going off on their holidays.

Need to back Allinson.
With proper backing we could make it into the Conference National.
He is an exceptional manager and we are lucky to have him at the club.

Nice to see someone realise that this board may not necessarily be represenative of the wider fan base. I know Saint helps out with match day Twitter updates when he can but don't think he can be held responsible for apparent "silence". However, I expect end of season holidays are more likely reasons for that. And maybe certain rumours are just that or given they relate to personal matters, maybe waiting correctly on discussion between relevant parties before making news public.

To be fair to the club the fact that we did not know what league we be in until after the final game of the season has make planning squad for the next season, organising coaching set-up and determining season ticket prices impossible. It is inevitable that we will be a bit behind other clubs who have been sure of there league status. Its still less than 2 weeks since we be guaranteed a conference south place for next season. Maybe criticisms may be valid come the end of May but are currently a bit premature. Having said this, it be good to have season tickets available as soon as possible to take advantage of the positive mood around the end of the season!

I'm sure there'll be news of price increases any day now. And something about a children's university, and some pictures of inner circle family members wearing their shirts with pride in Tenby Anyone know when next season's fixtures will be announced? Or if we've got any big (!!) PSFs lined up? Ride the crest of the 'stayed up by the skin of our teeth' wave and all that #COYS

It would be great to have a regular Wednesday slot for example, morning club news, afternoon player news, so we all know that news will be coming once a week. Rather than radio silence. It would make the off-season fly, and might help some fans feel on board and in touch throughout the summer. Didn't Allinson say after the Dartford game of already lining up new faces, by the way? As for boardroom changes, we wait with baited breath. I wonder what Scottish Saint is having for lunch today.
