Junior shouldn't have kicked out. However the ref should have punished the Hemel player for elbowing Junior in the face.

Sorry citycentresaint I'm not having that. What Junior did was inexcusable. He may have been stood on or elbowed or whatever it was. We are 2-0 up, easy as you like. What you do is get up walk away and when you next get the chance go in for a challenge where you take all the ball and wipe out the man too. I kid you not they were on for a battering tonight. Bar Concord worst team we have played so far this season.

Yeah they are relegation fodder.
He made a bad mistake and it cost us.

Junior needs to be a bit more streetwise or he'll become an easy target to get sent off. Why didn't he go down clutching his face instead of kicking out?

He does. He is built like a tank so will always get players trying to get physical with him.
Think he did clutch his face, then kicked out when he realised the clown of a ref wasn't giving anything.
The video highlights will display it.

5 games One match this Saturday for last Saturday 3 games for violent conduct 1 extra match for his 2nd red of the season So the incorrect decision last Saturday has now cost us more, whereas he should rightfully be suspended for 3 games he is wrongly suspended for another 2 2 league games plus 3 FA Cup assuming we get the 4Q round with no replays en-route (none of that a given of course)

Or David King for the forearm smash / punch in the first half
Hopefully the return fixture is postponed a few weeks and we can show off the conference south trophy for our visit
Same old Hemel

Hemel are the new Borehamwood. Horrible place, horrible club, horrible team, just horrible. Can't we just join a league with teams from attractive towns and with pleasant football clubs, officials with blazers etc.

Don't worry St Michael, I can see them going down. Hoping it will be the last time for years that we have to host that pondlife.

I was so gutted I couldn't even post before needed some time to reflect, why does it always happen against the scum ?!?
So proud of the 10 that battled after the sending off and thought that Scott Thomas was the Man of he Match.
It was a really stupid thing for Junior to do but as I said at the time he pushed him not kicked him and he made a meal of it as well as elbowing him first but it ended up costing us dearly reminded me of Beckham's red against Argentina (one for the kids)
Onwards and upwards

This may be a surprise to some, but not all people who live in Hemel Hempstead are bad and not all people from St Abans are good.
Prejudice based on an accident of birthplace is very tiresome.
Peace and love to everyone(takes less effort if nothing else).

Well said Canary Saint, I am wondering why all the ire against our friends and neighbours down the road..... I thought Chelmsford were dirtier players and manager (plus other teams I've seen) Strange

The dislike towards Hemel resonates for numerous reasons. Their fans letting off flares, hiking ticket prices when we play them and the actions of their chairman.
It is a place rife with teenage mums and JSA claimants.

Went to the game on Tuesday against Hemel, the language and constant berating of the officials was disgusting, St Albans are trying to attract more families, I for one will not subject my daughter to this.

On a lighter note, if anybody knows the player who left his window down in his Mercedes on Tuesday, tell him he owes me a pint.

Not long ago Morias was being lauded for staying on his feet on a number of occasions in order to set up goals for Theo. He kicks out at someone who's just elbowed him in the face, and that player goes down like he's been shot, and now his actions are inexcusable. The ref bought it, they do that these days, but I'd rather have Morias in the team (or suspended) rather than have players throwing themselves to the ground at every opportunity.

Our inability to see the game out and defend accordingly cost us the game. This crap idea that taking the ball to the corner flag( when through 3 v 2 in dying embers , not passing to players who were clear then beating defender and having a shot!!!!) cost us. If I could spell naïve id use the word. 2 points thrown away. Come on, clear the ball out of defence. Its not rocket science. We allowed their goalkeeper to almost come up to our penalty area to take free kick!!!! 9 against ten at maidenhead and we hold out. 10 v 11 against Hemel and we defend like muppets! Truly. And off course not all from Hemel are ,,,,,,.... just that proportionately they have more. ( Hands up all Saints fans not resident in HH who wish that they lived there!!!) And Tudor, I don't dislike Hemel or its residents. Why I even own and rent some out properties in Hemel....!!

I see Hemel only drew @ home to Berne Bay.
If any travel there for the replay they'll probably be rehoused there ;-)

I remembered when we first played Hemel for years in the Southern League at the same level, we'd just been relegated, they were a stable fixture. It was all very nice and friendly, no segregation, no pints and bins being thrown
They're ok

Be good to see Hemel put out by Herne Bay.
Without the FA Cup money, wonder how they will pay the electricity bill?

The two clubs get on well behind the scenes, and all the recent drama has been blown way out of proportion over the past few seasons which is a shame.
