Whilst I am on board with efforts to increase our crowds I am somewhat miffed that our clubs contribution to Non League Day is to offer PL/EFL season ticket holders the chance to watch us play Bath for £10. I am aware that our season tickets are relatively expensive as is our on gate admission. I am also aware of fans who are unabe to afford a season ticket and cant make every game due to cost. I am further aware that PL/EFL season tickets are expensive, ridiculously so IMO, as is the cost of travel from St Albans to see said teams. But that is a choice and why should regular supporters pay £15 and in a way subsidise those who can afford to support Pl/EFL teams? Surely the sensible thing here is to CELEBRATE NON LEAGUE DAY by reducing admission to £10 for everyone. Im aware this scheme has been run before even allowing free admission for such season ticket holders. But to do it Non League Day? Bit of a slap to regulars IMO. I may donate my admission elsewhere and CELEBRATE NON LEAGUE DAY instead. I had intended to raise this at the game last night but was too depressed.

I agree with you there Davy. Regular Non-league fans get nothing out of errr Non-league Day. I think we've probably lost quite a few potential punters through the turnstile on Saturday after last nights showing as it is!!

That would involve common sense which this club lacks - and the club tries to rip off the fans at any given opportunity.

Couldnt agree more. What is the point in giving an incentive to supporters of other clubs, of course they dont have a game this weekend however they will all go back to watch Arsenal, Spurs, Watford whoever it may be in future weeks. This should be used as a platform to get more casual/local football fans along with the hope of keeping them engaged and coming to other games. It should be £10 for all as suggested. As someone who only attends when i can due to work I had intended to go this week.......

But will the owners be bothered by any of this if they read it?? I don't think so when, possibly, this could be their last Season at the Club if we don't get a new Stadium. That's what's on their minds at the mo, the continued search for a new Stadium.

Wouldn't increased attendances by converting the casual fan not help with a case for a new stadium? Surely the owners recognise this..... well maybe....

A helpful and agreeing Council is what we really need there.

The council are being helpful going by recent events - correct me if I'm wrong. More people through the gates would help the case for a new stadium, it isn't going to be handed to the owners on a plate is it
£10 for everyone is a great shout on non-league day, casual fans would be happy to pop along for a tenner, regular fans get a discount for a change, everyone's happy. Casual fans might not come back if they find out it's £15 every week but some might

But getting back to the thread, about non-League day, such as tomorrow, l also agree with what you have said, and others, £10 for everyone, there needs to an incentive for coming back

Agree Davymac. I have to pick games as I can't afford £15 every time - £10 for all would really make a lot more sense and it does feel a kick in the teeth to those like me who come when we can afford it and are able and for whom a season ticket is probably to much to fork out for in one hit
