Hi all.

The forum's prediction league is back for another season.

Westwalessaint is our reigning champ, can he make it two in a row?

As ever just for fun and all free to get involved.

Will do my best to update every month.

Yellowfox's original rules are set out below.

Pit your wits against fellow Saints fans in the Saintschat Prediction League.

The Prediction League covers matches in the National League South, FA Trophy and FA Cup Games.

A maximum of 5 points will be on offer.

1 points for correct outcome (Saints victory etc)
1 point for correct score of one of the teams
1 point for correct first Saints scorer (This includes "No-Scorer" if you predict that the Saints won't score)
1 point for being within 10 of the announced attendance.

If you were to predict Saints to win 3-1
Merson to score first
attendance 550

and the Saints won 3-1 with Merson scoring first and the crowd was 550.

You would receive one point for predicting the Saints to win
One point for the correct saints score line (3)
One point for the correct opposition score line (1)
One point for the correct goalscorer
One point for being within ten of the attendance (That's ten either side of your predicted figure)

Where a prediction includes more than 1 scorer ( e.g. 2-0 Smith & Jones ) the first players name will be taken as the 1st scorer.

I'll be updating the League Table at the start of each month, so you can keep up to date with your position in the league.

How is the prediction league going to work this year regarding predicting the crowd figure?. For fairly obvious reasons the OFFICIAl number will be Zero so everyone will already have 1 point every week.

I would say use the number of subscribers to the streaming service but that would require the club to be open and transparent

New sticky will go up soon for 20/21. And to answer the questions above, no points will be allocated for crowd guess where games are behind closed doors...

Why not. Had a bit of a year off last year but happy to start up a new thread and update scores if people are interested.

It's just that nothing had been said until the last moment. I finised about mid table last time and was keen to get at least a Europa League place. Lol
