Wondered if anyone knew how many tickets went in the 'season ticket holder' round for the 1st round game against FGR? Realise that was for a home game, but i'm trying to gauge the chances of getting a ticket on general sale. I'm a fairly long-standing Saints fan but moved away from St Albans a few years ago so don't get to many games these days. But I remember the rather eventful clash against the Wood in the Senior Cup Final back in 2005!

ST holders could buy 4 tics for the home game, I’m assuming it’ll be 1 per ST for this one (we apparently have 330 Ish ST holders)

I think anyone who went to Burnham (trailed 2-0 after about 8 minutes and came back to win 3-2), Arlesey or Bashley away in the promotion season should be guaranteed a ticket!

So, I assume season ticket holders are purchasing from 9am tomorrow but when do they then go on general sale? Any ideas?

Boreham Wood FC can announce that we have lowered our National League match day ticket prices for the eagerly anticipated Emirates FA Cup 2nd Round Proper tie against St Albans City on Monday 6th December, 7.45pm KO. Emirates FA Cup prices will be set as per the 1st Round Proper match against Eastleigh FC and are as follows: – Adults & OAPs – £15.00 Under 16’s – £10.00 Under 12’s – £5.00
Wood Chairman Danny Hunter said, “We’ve looked at our security, stewarding, gates and all of the necessary staffing levels, as well as other match day planning issues, and I feel we’ve come up with what I consider to be a fair ticket price for a game of this importance… “I feel that this game now belongs to the very loyal fans of both clubs; it is of course a local Derby, so careful planning, security and safety has to also be paramount, but it is a Hertfordshire Derby and for one club it will be a joyous occasion, as it is in essence an Emirates FA Cup Final for our two clubs. I suppose there is already a sense of a ‘winner takes all’ feeling to this match, but when some of the noise stops it still has to be about two dressing rooms, two partisan sets of supporters and two well run football clubs.
“I hope the pricing levels will help both sets of fans, and even a few of the neutrals who do want to come down and experience a live FA Cup Derby and atmosphere, hopefully watch a great game of football in an improving ground, and enjoy two partisan sets of Hertfordshire supporters who will create a cracking atmosphere, I’m sure.” When asked about the danger of selling out the LV Bet Stadium Meadow Park, Hunter said “I, of course, hope and expect a very good crowd on the night, but as we’ve only ever sold-out Meadow Park once in my 23 seasons here as Chairman, I’m not so sure. That sell out was way back in 2000/01 and was against an Arsene Wenger, Tony Adams and Dennis Bergkamp led Arsenal team, so I’m not so sure a sell out is quite on the cards but we’ll see.
“What I can guarantee everyone, is there will be a great Non-League atmosphere and I can guarantee our Town and the Wood Army, just like their St Albans counterparts, will be up and ready for this one. When I look back on things, our home crowd has often made a huge difference to us in the big games in our recent past. “They were magnificent when we won our two play-off finals, when we knocked out Blackpool just a few years ago, and we are unbeaten at home in our recent two National League play off quarter finals, beating both Fylde and Halifax… So I know the Wood Army will certainly make their presence felt on the night and our dressing room knows how to win big games, that’s for sure…
“In terms of a sell out, I’m a realistic Non-League Chairman and when the hype and noise perhaps dies down a bit, we’ll know how ticket sales are going, but I will not be expecting a sell out. I do though expect a very, very healthy turn out from two rival Non-League football clubs, who will hopefully make for a wonderful occasion, a fantastic atmosphere and a magical night full of FA Cup drama.” Hunter concluded.

Sounds like he's a bit nervous of having a half-empty stadium for the TV cameras. Dropping the prices suggests as much too.

If Wood fail to sell out is there any chance we could get a higher allocation?

Interesting to note that Everton v Arsenal is live on Sky Sports the same night as our game. With any luck, a fair few of their 'fair weather big match' supporters will be in the Hart & Spool in Shenley Road watching that match.

If Wood fail to sell out is there any chance we could get a higher allocation? Would be a good idea, but unlikely. I think we could take 2000 away fans.

Maybe we can swap and The Wood take the away end.

Anyone got any idea if there’ll be anything to stop us buying a load of home section tickets if ours sell out?

Bit of a mess this ticket sales arrangement. I quite accept giving season ticket holders and members priority is the right thing to do but letting them buy four each?
Posting on Twitter at 7.25pm a link to an article on the website that says that only members registered before 5pm today can buy on Saturday isn't that smart. I'd certainly have been tempted to register as a member in order to move up a category.
So, you can attend 3-10 home games a season for seven seasons and have less chance of getting a ticket than the third best friend of a season ticket holder!

Completely agree. Made sense for the home game against FGR where there were enough tickets to go round but hard to see the rationale when we only have 1,000 to sell.

There's a few comments on Twitter so hopefully the club's social media marketing expert will see them and recognise that there's a bit of time for a rethink.

4 tickets for every ST and Membership holder is poor. A maximum of 2 (or even just 1) each makes much more sense.

Any season ticket holders or members on here willing to help out other forum members to ensure the away end is as full as possible with Saints fans who’ve been to a good few games?

Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of St Albans fans end up in the home end.

Yeah it's a real shame they've decided to allow four tickets each. Can't see that there will be any tickets left for general sale unless they (hopefully) decide to hold some back. I'd imagine that pretty much everyone will buy 4 tickets given the chance (as would I), so there'll be a lot of mates of ST holders that have barely been to a game before, whilst many life long fans won't be able to get a ticket.

I see this morning on social media the club are saying the 4 ticket allowance is to accommodate the family of the ST holder. This is such a weak after the horse has bolted justification. There is no way all the additional tickets will be used by family members. They have no way of enforcing this. It’s also an away game on a school night and I don’t consider the opposition to be a welcoming family club based on previous visits there

A poor decision compounded by a poor explanation, really. As Albanian says, a lot of supporters who have been to multiple matches per season will be at the back of the queue behind people who just fancy popping along. One has to hope that most season ticket holders – the committed fans who understand what it means to support a club – won't just buy tickets for all and sundry.
Anyway I repeat, if there's a season ticket holder out there who's buying today and doesn't mind taking the money for TWO additional tickets for me and my fellow semi-regular Saint pal (who has been to home and away games with me), send me a DM. I can offer a refreshment or two of your choice on top of the ticket money, which I'm happy to transfer in advance to a trustworthy soul.

Monday at 7.45PM, going to be a tough one to get to from Coventry after work. Will have to attempt to get a ticket first though!
